Hey all, haven't posted in a while or much...but some of these upgrade cards got me excited.

What's your thoughts on the Y-Wing becoming more viable? It's a favorite ship of mine, but has lacked that punch. Now with the BTL-A4 title at zero points giving the Y-Wing the ability to fire both primary and secondary turret weapon in its forward firing arc, what do you think of its damage output? On par with 3 dice ships? (X-Wing / B-Wing etc.) or better or worse?

I for one, am really looking farward to this set. The Z-95 headhunter is one of my favorite ships. Not a big fan of Y-wings but with the new title Im interested in seeing what can be done with it.

This is looking pretty cool. I like the one Z-95's focus-"borrowing" mechanic. The new Y-wing pilots look cool as well, as do the new upgrades, and I'm currently thinking about a Horton Salm build with the BTL A4.

That being said, there are some rather disappointing aspects to this- especially the whole Salvaged Astromech thing. With a couple having new ways to play with target locks, they could really have made Dutch Vander better if they'd been available for Rebels. Also disappointed that Mara Jade still is Imperial only, even though in her first appearance she would really belong in the this faction.- I was really hoping she'd appear as on of the Z-95 pilots (she flew one at the Katana fleet).

I counted at least four cards for the Hawk and Fire Spray. I'm happy!

I'm hopping there are rules for allies. Would love to run IG-88 next to some Tie Fighters, or a Fire Spray with a couple X-wings.

I'm excited. I like Y Wings, and enjoy flying 3 or 4 of them even if isn't competitive. I think to start Scum I'll need at least 4 of these boxes. Going to have a lot of Z95s lol. :-P

My enthusiasm for X-Wing really crashed when the Scum faction was announced at GenCon. This preview has revived it a bit, however.

Had a little chat with my X-wing group about Y-wings. We're thinking that The unhinged Astromech, Title, and Ion cannon could be a pretty nice gunship. Basically, Ion someone, get on their tail, and shred them.

Also, HWK+Autoblaster Turret is one of the worst combos ever.

I was looking at Kavil with Blaster Turret and R4-B11. That's 4 attack dice and you can make the defender reroll the defense dice of your choice.

Please God no. Allies are the last thing this game needs. Then again, it isn't going to happen (at least not with this expansion anyway), so I don't need to worry.

To be honest, I don't think there is a reason to take anything other than the Unhinged Astromech. Not only does it give you more green maneuvers, but, more importantly, it removes your red hard 3's. For one point.

R4 Agromech seems like the way to go here, especially with the blaster turret. Spend the focus to attack and get a free target lock for your 4 dice.

Alternately, grab Push the Limit, which lets you grab both actions, and have the Unhinged Astromech improve your maneuver dial. While the Agromech is slightly more flexible about who you shoot at, as you do not need to plan your target locks ahead of time, the Unhinged Astro is more maneuverable. Although I will admit that the potential applications of Agromech+Outmaneuver for shots of opportunity would also be viable.
