I've seen then range anywhere from 1250 to 2000 in 7th edition.
There's no standard at all.

In the Portland area, it seems like 1850 is the way to go.

But that wasn't clarified and people (like myself) didn't see the move.

1650 is the standard for UK tournaments.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

On the East Coast the norm is 1850 points.

On the West Coast it is 1750.

There are some tournaments that are a bit higher and lower here and there. Like Feast of Blades was at 1500, and some at 2000 point tournaments, but they are the exception not the rule.

You mean CA? It isn't the WHOLE coast.

TSHFT in Seattle is 1750.

I think the Vancouver events are too, but I might be wrong.

1850 seems an arbitrary number, where'd it come from? An older edition of the rulebook?

You must be new here. 1850 is the standard point value for many national tournaments such as Adepticon, BAO, and NOVA.

Yes, I was asking where they got it from.

From my understanding it is from when GW hosted tournaments.

Also, I have heard on a couple podcasts lately that GW "playtests" at 1500 & 2000 Points.

I've played various tournaments around the UK over the years and I don't think I've ever played a game at 1650! I'd say 1500, 1750 or 1850, just like everywhere else.

Maybe it's more a Midlands thing, I just know that the Battlefield Birminghams, the UKGT's, Allies of Convienence,Birmingham Open, Ruinstorm are all 1650. The only big tournament I've seen go larger is the Caledonian.
