well, it's a simple question: who is your favorite and why?

Mine is Nurgle, because he loves all of us so much that he wants to give us gifts, unfortunately the gifts are plagues.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

My patron chaos god would have to be nurgle. Not to long ago I was very sick while recovering a friend of mine jokingly said nurgle had gotten to me. while at home recovering I had many months of spare time on my hands, when I decided to build and paint a new army. I purchased a new deamon army of all nurgle deamons, I thought it would be funny to have plauge bearers now that I am recovered. And now with all these new models coming out I am very happy.

Tzeentch all the way!

Why? Because I love how he's so devious and scheming that even he has no clue exactly what his own "plans" truly entail, just that there's an actual plan and it always goes according to "The Plan"(tm)

Tzeentch, for he is a thinking man's god. Though close second is Slaanesh. I mean... Diaz era Daemonettes...at least you die happy.

In the game I'm fond of Khorne. There's something fascinating about primal rage.

In life, I'd probably fall for Slaanesh: think about it, his philosophy can be pretty much summed up as "do what you like, as much as you can; let nothing stand in the way".

You all lie. You are all mindless slaves to slaanesh. I'll tell you why. You like doinking? Yeah? Imagine that only with a crazy daemon who can light every nerve on fire in pure ecstasy.

/thread.

Seriously who doesn't love eternal ecstasy...

Nurgle. In the end, everything dies. Grandfather Nurgle also loves his little pretties as well.

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against the inevitable. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the darkness comes for you.

Khorne. In a wargame, you can't beat the god of war.

Second-best is probably Malal.

Well yes, this would have been my answer. but officially Malal doesn't exist anymore. Copyright issues. Though he was my absolute favorite. The chaos god of anti-chaos.

The greatest trick Malal ever pulled, was convincing the galaxy he didn't exist...and just like that...hes gone

Tzeentch. Fluff-wise, he's very intriguing because he's devious, and constantly has a plan, even it contradicts another plan of his. I like that. Gameplay-wise, he's freaking random, plus he's pretty much a dedicated Spellcaster, which I typically like in most cases.

His Heralds are also great to have as the main bad guys in any one of the RPGs as well.

My favourite chaos god? I doubt I can pick one.

It's probably going to be tzeentch. He doesn't care about the whole chicken stigmatism and lets them lead his armies.

Plus, blue!

It would have to be Nurgle, Nurgle is my bro. Although I am quite a fan of Tzeentch and I think he is one of the better done Gods.

Slaanesh and Khorne are both rather boring and confused.

I'd probably say Nurgle, but I do like all of the Chaos Gods pretty much equally.

I really wish they'd explore the different aesthetic variations of Tzeentch and Slaanesh in their mortal followers. A warrior unit for each would be nice.

Currently I think Nurgle offers the greatest diversity and source of bits for conversions. Nurgle is kind of like the Orcs/Orks when it comes to painting/converting, it's pretty open to anybody from beginners to masters.

My favourite is Slaanesh. Slaanesh only asks that you devote yourself you everything you desire. Slaanesh loves his minions and asks only that they worship themselves. The only way to displease Slaanesh is to not engage at the pleasures at hand (a spurned lover has a right to be angry). Also showing any trace of remaining morals in the pursuit of pleasure will anger Slaanesh.

None of this get yourself killed for Khorne. Wallow in your own filth for Nurgle. Or scheme for Tzeentch until you go mad! Slaanesh just offers endless self endulgence for eternity.

As far as painting goes Slaanesh is one of the harder ones and therefore an interesting challenge. I have learned much that way. Also conversions aren't as easy as the others, again this had led to alot of fun creating my WOC army.

Slannesh.

All the other Chaos gods are too horrifying and abhorrent to most people to ever be followed by any remotely sane person.

Khorne - too many people are cowardly in real life when it comes to conflict and wars. Most people just run for their lives.

Nurgle - disease is repulsive to all natural instincts.

Tzneetch - close, but the absolutely maddeningly alien and incomprehensiveness of Tzneetch's doctrines would drive people away (unless it is precisely this which gains him followers?).

Slannesh - offers you virtually unlimited amounts of everything you have ever wanted. Desire is a universal trait, and people commonly 'worship' money, sex, power, beauty, authority etc.
Just look at most popular culture and media today and its pretty obvious that its slannesh, not khorne, nurgle or tzneetch, which is getting all the praise.

Tzeentch.
And all the people that choose another God here, might even do so because it fits the plan of Tzeentch!

I love the way that the "thinking man" or even the "good man" or "religious man" might actuallly serve Tzeentch and never know.

It's also the closest thing to the Cthulhu mythos.
The more you know, the more you become the dark god, even without knowing it.

Slaanesh is the closest of the Gods to satan/our representations of temptation and evil. sHe is all about that satanic worship of self thing, with a huge dollop of cenobite pushing the boundaries of your experience and understanding.
