So yeah, like the title says, i am looking for a decent glue for gluing plastic models together. Also because i have 40k orks on occasion i need to glue some other stuff to plastic..
The reason i am making a thread about this is most of the glues i have used had problems like drying too fast (even when closed) or being the wrong density. Ive used GW glue on occasion but its too expensive for my taste.
I am looking for something that can be bought from in and around the UK so i dont have to wait ages for transport.

The glue you need is Revell Contacta.

Been using this glue for the better part of ten years now and it's never failed. The pin point applicator is brilliant. It's a sturdy bottle and I've never had one leak. The glue itself is very good quality. You get plenty of working time with it before it fully dries.

The one problem I have had with this glue is that the applicator can get clogged sometimes. It's an easy enough fix though. All you need to do is remove the applicator and bath it in boiling water for a few minutes. Or if you're feeling foolish hold a lighter over the clogged end and burn the problem away... But that's kind of a last resort fix.

Honestly though I cannot recommend this glue enough.

Yupp. One of these bottles is enough for more than a full army and works like a charm. If you are unsure, e.g. with a weapon option just switch to a drop of super glue for that part and do the rest with plastic glue.

Btw, I am using your "last resort" as a standard solution and use a lighter to unclog the applicator. Just don't hold it near anything flammable.

Truth be known, it's my go to method as well. I just figured I'd list the non-potentially health endangering method first.
For the sake of appearing at least half way sensible.

I'm not sure if it's sold in the UK, but I use Gorilla brand Super Glue for most all my plastic models. It's relatively cheap compared to GW brand and works great!

If you are using superglue, remember that thin superglues dry quickly, and thick ones more slowly.

So, Insta-gap thick will tend to fill gaps better and dry more slowly.

Usually, the thin or medium is more desirable, since plastic cement is a good option for longer set time.

I use Revell Contacta Pro for plastics (cannot recommend it enough) for Small parts I use Loctite super glue and for Resin and some larger models I use cs1500 industrial super glue, carefull when using that though and it dries hard as nails
