I dont play marines..but I am an ork player and this list would do very well against my greentide army. I would be more tempted to make a change where you could add another vindicator. Pretty scary to run my tide straight at 2-3 vindicators..
I also think the AM-SM really grants you the benefit of having both, somewhat armored infantry but also pushes your model count higher by having the platoon of guard.
If your opponenet style favors a couple MANz missiles (3 meganobz in a trukk) or more vehicle heavy list then the autocannons should tear up some trukk armor. Watch out for a blitz-brigade formation...5 scouting Battlewagons filled to the brim with boyz, meganobz, tankbustas and a lukky stikk warboss...
Hope you have fun. Orks are great to play as but also against. Hope a more seasoned marine player can help with the list.

No MANZ in a Trukk, but there will be a unit of Nobz with powerklaws and Grotsnik, with a Warboss with Lucky Stikk in a battlewagon. I don't think Scouting Battlewagons will be a thing for them!

Hmmm.. why he would have a warboss with Da lukky stikk without Mega armor.. is BEYOND me. i would venture to guess the warboss and his nob buddies will be in MA. If not... The best he can get in in terms of armor is 4+ save and a 5+ FNP.

Not optimal for orks, but still a potent combat machine... Because it isn't 2+ focus all your fire and they will fall

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).
Keep on rolling |

So, Marine players out there, would you advise swapping Calgar and the Drop Pod Honour Guard for a Captain with Thunder Hammer, AA and Shield Eternal and something else?

The list seems fine against an ork list, but the unit in question is over 400pts... Maybe swap him for the captain and an additional vindicator or tfc. Any thoughts on air or aa? 2 storm talons or a storm raven or quad gun.

I'm not expecting any AA, but I could use a Stormtalon or two with skyhammer missiles.
