So what's everyone's opinion on the "new" call of duty. Personally the first few days of online was fun. Seemed to be going decent. Now that im a little further into the online and everyone is getting used to it, it seems very unbalanced. SMG's are useless as well as snipers. If your not using either of the first 2 assault rifles your gunna have a bad time haha.... All the jumping was cool and stuff but now is just getting crazy annoying. Not to mention the servers and spawn points are the gaks.. Im glad I didn't buy the seasons pass yet haha

Campaign is good so far. Probably short but seems good overall, video scenes have amazing graphics haha (im on the PS3)

EXO survival is crap in my opinion. Hard to get past the first few levels. The bots seem way overpowered. Spec ops back in mw3 (or mw2 what ever one it was) was way better than this.

Overall ill be finishing the campaign but wont see much online play. Maybe if im bored and have nothing to do id jump into online for a bit but I wouldn't count on it (that's if I don't sell it after I finish campaign) Overall id say a 5/10 just for campaign sake....

What are your thoughts everyone???? Im interested to know.... 1 being garbage and 10 be amazing.

Prettier? What game are you playing?

I'm a fan of Call of Duty, always have been and used to be top ranked in Hardcore game modes, so needless to say I'm an advocate of the series Multiplayer. However, AW is crap. Stinky, ugly dookie that shouldn't be sold at all. Again, I only play hardcore so everything I say is about those game modes. But damage is arbitrary, requiring two shots at five feet or 500 unless a leaf gets in the way and then it requires five shots. Guns are bland, silly and lack any sort of variety. There's a gun that 3D prints its bullets... And so many laser guns.

The level design is friggin amateur at best and the company that designed it were NOT ready to think in a 3D world, or never attempted to play a previous call of duty and don't know there's a thing called 'camping'. Every map is FULL of dark corners that can't be hit with some guy sitting in it. For a game that is all about the poorly designed boost movement, actual gameplay against other humans really punishes you for moving. Double jump? Well, everyone and their mother can see and hear you soar through the skies and shoot you down. Movement isn't TERRIBLE with good combinations of boosts, but so what? There's a ladder three feet over anyway and that's quieter.

Servers are terrible, dropping me two out of every five games and randomly mutes other players, including my own team or clan mates and party members. There is no way to turn off this stupid auto-mute or predict how it will work. Spawns are EASILY the worst I have ever come across, putting enemies five feet behind a player if their back is turned.

I hate that I wasted money on it and even bought it digitally and can't throw it in a used game store... Awful game by a third rate design company and the worst in the series, hands down. And I thought Ghosts was bad...

Not going to vote yet but it actually looks like the first CoD game worth buying since... CoD4. For once I actually am interested in playing a game! The PC ports actually not bad, I like the move away from the modern day shooter/WW1, it took an idea from the arcade world of shooters with the more mobile capabilities, and the killstreak options are entertaining.

Not to say it's without faults. Servers from what I've heard are a bit derpy but it seems like something I might actually buy when it's on discount. Overall I'd range it at above average. Not a 10/10 but I really can't think of a game deserving a 10. So... maybe a 7.5? Has its faults but it's overall a fresh breath of air in something that's ultimately become stale.

Also before people diss it for ripping Titanfall. One catch. This CoD apparently has been worked on for the past 3 years and they both came out in the same year

The story is utter trash and could be the most poorly written story in modern CoD, and the multiplayer is swarmed by 13 year old kids.

1/10.

Honestly it looks pretty neat. The mech suit mechanics while being maybe a bit gimmiky makes the game look like crysis or an arena fps.

The pc version also look like a nice improvement over last cods. This fish might be the first one that I will play during free weekend.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

There's a mission that perfectly summarizes the entire game: you are on a bridge and for the entire mission, you have to go straight and popamole bad guys. You literally go straight and shoot stuff. Doom had better level design.

You....DIDN'T.

Actually, I never considered Daikatana to be as bad as a lot of people claimed it was. Its main problem was the poor AI, but if you park you AI allies at the start, it was an ok game.

Sledgehammer came in to work on MW3 when what we now know as Respawn left Infinity Ward. So when Respawn left IW to make Titanfall, Sledgehammer finished MW3 and then began work on this. Yes there's going to be comparisons because both groups, Respawn and the people that replaced Respawn for MW3 make a similar game at the same time. And Titanfall is the clearly better multiplayer experience, movement system, map design and interactive concept. There is no catch though. They might have made these games completely separate from one another and it's a coincidence, but at the end of the day Advanced Warfare feels like amateur hour and Titanfall is smooth, consistent and enjoyable in the same genre of game.

I'm enjoying it - play on PC, and the last CoD I bought was Black Ops (1.) The comments on guns is correct - sniper rifles, LMGs, and SMGs are a waste of time - I'm an average player at best, but my 1.5 or so K/D droped to 0.2 at best with these guns - basically, the maps are too small to snipe anyone (and the EXO suit means that no-one runs in a predicable path to lead them), the LMGS are too inaccurate to hit, and the SMGs are outranged by the AR's, who have enough mobility to avoid the higher RoF.

Oh we're talking about the story? Naw it's amazing. Especially those QTE. 10/10 best quality moment ever. Press F to pay respects. Absolute genius right up there with games that let you somewhat control sex or kissing sceens and not take the controls away from us or just not make us do it at all.

I also watched a QTE where the person decided not to press anything. Both bad guys died anyways. You don't even have to press the buttons anymore. Just make a damn cutscene.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

You guys still expect something from a Call of Duty story? Really? Do you know the definition of insanity?

Though playing a few missions I think I've spent more time walking than I did shooting... The training missions are very enjoyable. The little firing range is a bit of a challenge.

To be honest, its more like the love child of CoD and Halo.

Spawns and glitches need removing as a minimum (seriously, at least 4 points on each map to hide inside a wall)

Then the guns need tinkering with.
They really are pretty poor as there is no balance.
CoD worked a points basis for each weapon, alotting points to accuracy, strength, range etc.
The guns in the class always had the same total, giving it balance.

Some of the guns on here however, they really are all over the place.

I think i have had more kills boost slamming people than with an SMG.

Also, the challenges seem pretty easy to be fair.
Finished killer and humiliation on the first day.

Also, whats with the timed armour unlocks?
You get some amazing looking stuff, but only for 30 mins then its gone again.
Because a 30 kill spree is only worth a bloody top for 30 mins lol.

I disagree. Some stories weren't that bad. Black Ops was okay and I liked the Modern Warfare ones - the "GREEN LIGHT, GREEN LIGHT!" scene was awesome and so memorable.

The new plot just doesn't make any sense. It doesn't have plot holes, it's made of plot holes. They basically put Spacey in and then slapped an extremely poorly written story on the game.

I suspect that the real issue is that more and more the single player is seen as an excuse plot. The multi-player is where they want to put all of their focus. To a certain extent, that's been the case for quite a while now. But at least in the past it used to feel like they were trying.

More and more now it feels like they're not even really bothering to do that.

Playing on the XBone.

Not going to give it a score until they fix some of the more glaring problems (how they got passed QA I'll never know ). Looking at you annoying chat notification, the 1 minute interval between notifications that your mates are in your party every single game, the WTF matchmaking system (it can't be skill based and definitely not location/connection based unless Sledgehammer thinks that South Africa and South America are neighbours, because South is a common theme or something. Seriously, last night had a rare game with a good connection against local players, then 4 games in a row against guys from Mexico and Brazil. ), care packages giving you the same thing over and over and over (Feth knows what the game wants me to do with 5 pairs of KVA mercenary gloves, and just to be sure it gives me 2 more in the same package. And a purple hat. For chuckles I'm keeping things and see how many duplicates I get in a week. Can I get guns please?), the seemingly arbitrary respawn times (not friendly fire related) or like the other night when in a 6 minute game I spent over 3 quarters of the game in spectator mode. At least I wasn't kicked for inactivity like a friend last night. And some really atrocious spawning. Spawned in the same room as an enemy the other day .

On the positive side. When the game gives me a low latency lobby, it's fun. Not played Titanfall so the movement is a new experience for me. So far there isn't a map I despise (unlike Free Fall in Ghosts. You like getting spawn killed 6 times in a row n00b, then good news!), the ability to add abilities to your score streaks, some of the older perks moving into gun attachments to mention a few is something I'm having fun with.

Hopefully the patch for the PS4 guys that came out yesterday solves some of the problems.

Single player is about a memorable as all the others from CoD4 onwards but with nicer cutscenes.

Multiplayer is multiplayer. If you've played one chances are you know what to expect. Except this time you have double jump.

I like it for now but that is because I skipped getting into Multiplayer in the last two entries.
