Hello Everyone,
I've hit an issue and need some help I've bought a bunch of space wolf models from eBay and need to paint them they come off sprue unassembled. With space wolves I like to paint without arms on due to intricate chest pieces. And now my issue is how to hold the arms so that I can spray paint them before attaching I can't find needles thick enough to go through the plastic. My original thought was to put a needle where the glue goes and then push them into a thin piece of Styrofoam so that I can get a good 3D paint job but this is harder than originally thought. So I turn to you guys and ask, any ideas or suggestions?

Use a small dab of super glue, glue arm to spare piece of spruce mounting at the point it will be glued to the finished model. Paint, delicately remove from sprue and then attach to model

Just cut through the point where the glue melds the sprue and arm?

Use blu-tac to stick them to a spray paint cap. Obviously aft the attachment point & have them hang over add much add possible so you can hit them from multiple angles.

Drill the arms, put a piece of paperclip in the hole, mount on a piece of cork and spray.
