On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Hey folks,

Am hoping to visit Firestorm Games at some point in the near future and just wondered if anyone has been there and can say if it is worth the visit? Do they have much of a variety of games in store/keep well stocked on the store shelves etc.?

Really would just like to know how far along the scale between Total Wargamer and Dark Sphere it is (for those who are familiar with those places - and for those who aren't, whether it is good or bad! )

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Slightly smaller range than Dark Sphere as smaller floor space. You can see it on their website I think. I've played there and their game room is large but in a converted warehouse. I did a MtG World Cup qualifier there last year in September and it was freezing cold. I've never played MtG in a room of people in their overcoats before.

Yeah, I play there regularly.

Never had a problem there, presonally. It's quite large, Howard has it right with it being a converted warehouse. I can't say I've been there when it's cold enough for overcoats.

I can't comment on their variety of stock, I'm only interested in GW games. But, through casual browsing they definately have a wide variety of stuff.

When / why are you going there?

Thanks very much for the comments guys.

I'm guessing there is a fair stock of Bolt Action stuff as they had that tournament there a while back, other than that was just hoping to have a browse; Any historicals stuff, maybe Infinity or Dreadball etc.

I go most weeks and it's a great store, with the majority of the staff being cool and fairly functional too. The store part is small, but so much is crammed in that they'll probably have something you're looking for. I don't have much interest in BA, but they have a lot of Infinity and a good selection of Mantic products too, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

On the size of store area, they are moving to a different unit nearby in a few weeks/months because of that.
