So I picked this up today, and I'm gonna spend the evening playing on it when I get home from the library, just wondering what people's opinions on it are so far?

After a load of palava involving the season pass not being on a gift card, but being on a receipt so that I spent an hour sprinting around sheffield to see if I'd lost the card, I finally managed to play it, and I'm really enjoying it so far. It seems like the ability to get 100% brick collection has been made harder, which I like, and the free roam between the levels is very fun so far (I've only been to the Hall of Justice and the Legion of Doom so far).
The only negative so far is that it seemed to take ages to get to a point where I could explore the hub areas, but I've gotten past that bit now, so all's good.

One reason I never got most of the Lego games other than the Middle Earth ones, is because they lacked the open world between levels. Hearing that this has been added might make this a must buy for me, as they are otherwise very good games.

Yeah, Lego Marvel Superheroes had the entirety of Manhattan to explore. In this you have smaller hub areas, which each have a few missions and unlockables available to find, so you can explore the Watchtower, the Batcave, the Hall of Justice/Doom, and each of the various Lantern Corps planets.
