Is a one use magic item still present within the army after its use??

But it can't be destroyed or anything like that. For instance with Arcane Unforging.

Can I ask what the relevance is?
Why if you have used a dispel scroll why it matters if you still have it, or is this in regards to specific items?

If you are thinking that you can use a dispel scroll then follow that up with summoning a character with a dispel scroll, I'd say no.

I would say it is still in the army just "discharged". A character with a single use item is still counted to be worth the points including that item. There is no specific ruling on that but as I would interpret it I would say the item still exists but unusable after its use.

One use items are not destroyed when they're used. The model still has it, its just been used.

So you could technically destroy it with Arcane Unforging, wouldn't do you any good but you could still do it.

iirc arcane unforging specifically says something like "Do not randomize for one use only items that have been used" when determining which item gets hit.

But I'd say the item is still there, just out of juice.

Honestly I'm getting annoyed by the amount of people trying to use summoning to get extra magic items they normally can't have. It's not enough we get a free unit worth no points if killed bu now you've gotta try to cheese it out?

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

You are indeed recalling correctly. You don't count those items, nor any magic items that are mounts (such as Settra's chariot), nor bound spell items that have miscast (and thus lost their ability to cast).

Malekith's Destroyer sword has the exact same stipulation. I can't think of another item-destroying ability out there, although I'm sure one exists.

Beastmen stone of spite. It's a 1 use item that can destroy all arcane items within 18", doing a D6 S4 hits for each destroyed.

Destroyed, not gone. It is still part of the army

Matt means that it destroys all Arcane Items within 18", even the One Use Only ones that have been used.

The question is, when you use a Dispel Scroll or a Potion of Foolhardiness, do you cross it off your army list? No. It's still there. You're just only allowed to use it's effects once.

I do cross it off my army list. It's how I remember it's been used.

...okay. Fair enough.

What I should say is: "do you delete it from your army's list, or do you just put an 'X' over the top of it?"

I actually didn't mean that at all. Rather, I was pointing out that their are ways still to destroy magic items, rather than just rendering them useless, and the beast item doesn't mention anything about 1 use items.

So...wait. What?
You're saying that the Beastmen item can destroy One Use Items.
So, if I use my Dispel Scroll and my Forbidden Rod, and you use your Stone of Spite, it destroys them, even after their One Use Only limit has been reached. Right? Or am I missing something, here?

Wait, so if an item is destroyed (as opposed to just used), would those points be subtracted from the unit's/character's total points value?

You mean for Victory Points and the like? Pretty sure you have to kill the whole unit (the whole character) to get the points.

Yeah, though I've played against people who declare a winner based on who has more points left on the battlefield, so in that situation it would matter. In a situation where victory is declared based on no. of points defeated it wouldn't make any difference of course.

Well those people are cheating.

Of course, characters are counted separately from units.

I just checked the FAQ for beastmen, and found this:

Q) Are One Use Only items that have been used (such as scrolls and power stone) and items which have been exhausted (eg book of arkhan) or items destroyed/neutralized by other spells magic items counted when resolving the effects of the "Stone of Spite"?
A) No.
