Three men arrested three days before Remembrance Sunday had planned to behead a member of public in the UK, a court has been told.

Nadir Ali Sayed, 21, from Hounslow, 19-year-old Yousaf Shah Syed, from High Wycombe, and Haseeb Hamayoon, aged 27, from Hayes, West London, appeared before Westminster magistrates on Thursday afternoon.

They are each "charged with the intention of committing acts of terrorism, or engaged in conduction or preparation of terrorism, contrary to section 5 of the terrorism act".

They were remanded in custody in a 25-minute hearing to appear next at the Old Bailey on 4 December.

None of them made an application for bail.

A fourth man, arrested in Uxbridge, was released on 15 November with no further action.

Douse them in pigs blood and then behead them.

You forgot to add the part about the punishment being carried out by female executioners, because nothing insults gakhead Islamists like a woman who's aloud to be more than just a tent-covered baby factory!

Many of our 'problem children' are actually disenfranchised inner city youth from several generations. The radicalizing muslim clerics and orators, for example, have been recruiting in the prison system among the habitual young offenders.

Yeah I suppose. I mean, what do people think is going to happen? When you bring in folks who have such a vastly different culture, who are generally under educated, of course there are going to be huge problems with intregation and cultural assimilation. What exactly makes it wirth while for europeans? Is it some sort of feeling that it is a moral duty, even with the threat it poses at home, or economic nessesity?

The worst part is that its somehow racist to criticize them, even when there is undeniable proof that they are causing problems.

It isn't like people are going to gak heap countries, rounding up herds of folks and dragging them back to London. For the most part, immigrants move to a new country to find something better than what they had. Maybe it'd be a change of pace to look at what kind of treatment the descendants of these immigrants are receiving that makes them the prime target for radicalization. (My country included.) You know, rather than blame the poor uneducated savages all agape at our fancy modern technology and indoor plumbing.

Might because instead of saying "something should be done about radical clerics recruiting youth in prison and pushing them to commit violence/crimes/whatever" you said "immigrants are bad." The former isn't even remotely racist. It's targeted at a specific group taking a specific action. The later on the other hand...

Indeed. The problem is those who are trying to radicalize the descendants of immigrants. (The root of it in a domestic sense, at any rate.)

Maybe its just the economics major in me, but is it worth the time, money, and resources to bring and intregate migrants from countries with vastly different cultures? Is the UK making a net gain by doing so? and is it morally okay, given the increases in violent crime and cost to the government social services?

"Immigrants are bad" isn't a racist statement. Thinking it is racist on the other hand actually is.

Thinking its a racist statement is racist because you are implying that all immigrants are a different race. You also belittle legitimate cries of racism by confusing criticism of the problems these people cause because they don't assimilate and cause cultural friction with people disliking them because they have a different skin color. And culture =/= race.

Why does this type of discussion always have to turn into some debate about race?

The cultural hertiage of say...pakistan, is going to be very different from the UK, it doesn't matter what the color is. Hell we can talk about the ME as well. I spent some time in Iraq, and let me tell you, if you cut the beards off and get rid of the man-dresses, they can pass for italian.

No, people just try to insert racism into their opponents argument because they'd rather not have an honest discussion and crying "RACIST!" is a lazy trump card they like to play.

Assume that to be true for a moment. How is arguments about "people with vastly different cultures refusing to integrate" not equally lazy? By its very nature it ignores any pretense of personal, societal, economic, or political issues to simply lump down all perceived problems as irreconcilable cultural differences.

Then we throw in that it's just veiled racism and you have a lazy racist argument You need to read some of the finest Antebellum literature. Those guys. Those guys knew how to be racist and classy

I can't speak for all of Europe, but for the UK it is a bit of both.

Having had the world's largest empire there are many countries that Britain imposed itself upon, which now there is a moral imperative to give some kind of recompense.

Secondly there have been terrible skills gaps in many areas, which could only be filled by immigration of educated workers.

Luckily, with our long history of importing and integrating foreigners, we have had very little problem with immigrants on the whole, and I think they have enriched the life of the nation with new festivals, foods and other aspects of culture.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
