Wyrd has announced their Black Friday sale and posted the details on their web site.

The highlights are:

- Old 1st Ed miniatures are 50% off. Books too.
- The Massive Whiskey Golem is being done in a translucent "root beer" color. $70.00
- Free special/limited models for spending more than $150/$300 on product during the sale.
- Special editions (translucent) of some crews, all tourney legal with no further painting necessary.
- Some of the other LE models from events past are available again.

So, if you love you some metal, this would be a great time to get it.

I'll be grabbing the Carver (I have a huge soft spot for pumpkin headed demons) and Nekima.

I'd like to get the Gremlin and Katanaka Sniper and even the Performer, but those price points are just insane.

Not seeing the point of a translucent Whiskey Golem. Seems an odd choice.

I'll be looking for Carver, Bound by Law, Guild Riflemen, Miss Terious, Male multi-part kit, Female multi-part kit, 1st ed Colette Avatar(s), and maybe another couple of first ed things, because 50%. Oh, and crossroads because I don't have it yet.

If only the performer was 150, hell I'd just take her over the sniper and the gremlin, arcanists is the only faction that I play which has a limited ed model, but there's no way I'm hitting 300. I'm going to break 150 easy, so I'll ask nicely in my order if I can get the performer instead of the other two. I know it won't work, but all I can do is ask.

Seriously, buy it local. When I did my gencon order, it threw my postage up an additional $30us or something ridiculous. No point paying nearly $100au with the additional postage for a book available locally for $50au.

Yeah seriously. Unless you're trying to hit the $150/$300 OR interested in their LE offers you should buy they're regular release stuff elsewhere. This weekend you're bound to get at least a 30% (if not more) discount everywhere else. Same if you just can't wait. Crossroads,Bound by Law, Riflemen, etc....they're all out now. Hoffman and Leviticus are all out in two weeks...


I'm in the boat where I can' pass $150 but not hit $300 and the alt performer is the piece I'd like to have out of the four. But she's not a $50 dollar piece to me (which is the difference between buying $150 from Wyrd and buying the same stuff at 30% off). Sadly I think I should not have bought as much during GenCon and leveraged more of my money on Black Friday. I don't think I needed 3 Miss Ery teddies as much as 1 and a the alt performer. Oh well, live and learn.

For me Nekima and Carver I rather not wait for. Past that I've always wanted some Hanging Trees (don't know why) and now's a great time to get the alternate Perdita. So that's 148 right there. Some of the translucent crews look like they'd be cool to do partial paint jobs with.

I wish I didn't already have Pandora a because those ghosts would look great in the translucent plastic rather than painted.

I just lucked out (tentatively). Another guy in my area is going to combine orders with me to hit the $300. He wants the sniper and the gremlin, so if it goes off, I'll be all set.

While I wish I had more money to spend on the sale, really the only other thing I actually wanted were the Hanging Trees. A translucent Pandora would have been fun but a complete waste of money as I already have the set. None of the other special or rare models were Neverborn, and so far I'm succeeding at sticking to Neverborn.

Guess I'll just have to hope they do the the Hanging Trees next Black Friday.

Bit late but everything I've read says no. I haven't personally played Pandora yet.

Did a joint purchase with a friend, got some Ten Thunder archers, Samurai, Vanessa, Bound by law, and the through the breach male box. I want to make some guild guard and civilians with that box. I will get the performer. I am just happy i could do the joint purchase, because there was no way I could do the 300 on my own. Plus I am sure the LE performer will be expensive on ebay once the sale is over.

I'm hoping, given this year's showing, that they;'ll be available in the future as individual purchases...

The Carver is listed under the pre-order list, doe's this mean this version is not limited edition?

and some unrelated stuff to bring my total to $301 so i got the bonus minis

Sadly I wanted to get Miss Terious but she was fresh sold out by the time I got to her

Already have the Dreamer in regular plastic, so it had the same problem as Pandora in dayglo or translucent plastic - already have it, no need to buy it. Already have Miss Ery as well. Got both from Gencon.

Really, the only Neverborn stuff for me this time was Nekima and the Carver (who sort of counts).

Good to know the Carver will be a regular release, as it's a cool scenario and the model is awesome. Would be good if they did a toned down version for regular play, as I'd love to use the model as often as I could. I like pumpkin headed demons.

It's disturbingly easy to keep buying this game, particularly when compared against my old 40k habit. $300 just doubled both mine & my spouse's options for Neverborn & Outcasts (and, being Outcasts, I can sneak a little of that into my Neverborn crews if necessary), and that was buying shiny transparent models, too.

To answer a previous question: I haven't used 3 Woes in a Pandora list for anything under 50SS since my first couple starter games (and almost never then). They're neat, but 2 will usually be enough.

It's funny that you'd mention 40K here, because normally I couldn't mentally fathom spending $300 on anything 40k related these days. I browse and window shop GW stuff, but I haven't bought more than a codex on discount in almost 2 years. Last week I bought, then I went back and bought some more. I did pick up that clear green Pandy box btw, if I ever need more than 3 Sorrows I'll buy them next year.

Like you say, It is disturbingly easy to keep buying this game. I'm so looking forward to find a box at my door next week.

Pretty much this. Buying one crew for a faction gives you a start to the faction. Buying a second crew gives you a second henchman, a second totem (or multiples), another 3 minions and another master. That's a HUGE amount of additional customisability for how you can build crews. Add a third starter and you've got enormous flexibility. It just increases exponentially since each master plays entirely differently, sometimes with multiple playstyles through upgrades, and works differently with other units in the faction. Then the additional solos and other minions, enforcers and henchmen all interact differently with masters as well.

Once you start on a faction, adding more of it just adds so much flexibility when you're building a crew. It's hard to not buy more just to see how things interact with each other.

It is also less intimidating to buy into other factions, as a starter gives you a good start to making them playable

And let's not get into the diabolical genius thathat is cross faction hiring pools...

Indeed. I bought the Whiskey Golem during Gencon for two reasons - first, it's a fething Whiskey Golem an alcohol fuelled keg monster, and second, Zoraida is dual faction with Gremlins. So when I buy her, I can use the Golem (though it won't synerguse particularly well). And now I'm really considering a few Gremlin starters, because they're hilarious (Brewmaster and Mah Tucket in particular, but Ophelia is great as well).

Probably. I don't want to start them until I get through at least another Neverborn crew, so by then I hope Mah Tucket is out. That and Ophelia should keep me occupied, if Tucket is out by then. I'll have fun just with Ophelia and the Kin otherwise.

Brewmaster is such an amazing crew concept though - kill your opponents through a drinking game! I have to get that when it's out.

I was glad to see the sale, and picked up a bunch of 1E stuff at big discount:
- 1.5 Rulebook
- Pandora 1E

I also grabbed a couple crews at my local store:
- Sonnia Criid 1E
- McMourning 1E

Not a bad haul for not a lot of coin. Sure, it's 1E, but I think there's plenty of play value there!

I wanted the hot pink Dreamer crew so bad!!!
