I am not sure in a normal list can you bring more than 1 of the same formation, for example could I bring to Living Artillery nodes in a Tyranid list? i tried searching for the answer but could not find one.

Yes you can, as long as it doesn't contain any unique units.

Thanks, I just wasn't sure and before I invested in enough models to make 2 of the living artillery nodes.

You are free to have as many detachments of as many varieties as you wish in a battleforged army, taking multiples of each detachment is completely allowed. Remembering Formations are just very restricted detachments.

Yes, you can.

The only restriction is that most tournaments only allow you to take 1 of each formation.

i don't really care about tournaments, I only go to some of the ones at my FLGS and they really don't care.

What minimum Compulsory?

There isn't one if you're taking Formations only.

There is if your formation mentions needing 1-3 units of a certain type to which minimum compulsory would be 1 of those units.

Formations will always contain instructions on what specific Units are allowed to be taken and in what quantities, it is what they do instead of Force Organization Charts.

Yeah Formations are the most restricted way of building an army. That's why they generally receive the best bonuses for being selected.
