Does anyone have any good sources on desert-themed, Tallarn-looking guardsmen? I'm part of a new local escalation league, and decided this would be the time to add to my IG/Renegades army, and I've decided on a 'crazed desert fighter'-look (imagine a pulp style (occasionally chaos-worshipping) ISIS in spaaaaaace if you want), as I think it's a unique and interesting aesthetic.

What I need help with is finding suitable models, so please give me recommendations, if you got any! Preferably plastic, so I can convert them easier

So far I have bought Al'Raheem and Perry Twins' Sudanese Tribesmen (to use as anything from conscripts to mutant rabble, depending on which army I run)

I have also found the following miniatures I'm looking at:

Arab spearmen

Foundry's Indians

Black Hat's Tauregs

I would really like something more modern-looking though, to fit a 40k setting.

My inspiration came when I saw this picture online, so you'll get an idea of what I'm after:

(note that this is just intended as a fun hobby project, so please leave politics and religion etc. out)

Looks like ISIS has a heavy weapons guy.

You could mod some modern war terrorist figures. Stick some spare lasguns on them.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
30k Ultramarines: 2000 pts
Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts
AOS Stormcast: Just starting.
The Empire : ~60-70 models.
1500 pts

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Victoria Lamb is making Tallern Heads as is Curious Constructs.

Puppet wars also has a few that they have done up.

Honestly if you took Victoria Lambs and mixed her bits together you could make some very awesome Tallern as seen here:

Great recommendations, I love the Puppet Wars Desert troopers Thanks!

If anyone know of any similar models in plastic (and thus hopefully cheaper), I will be eternally grateful
