I'm doing some tourney prep, and I would like an example of a top tier Centurion Star list that I can play against. Can anyone offer one?
I know the basics are Tiggy or the forgeworld psycher for GOI. Grave Cents, Other psychers to buff it, but I'd like to see a really tourney level list that runs it.
ETA: 1850 points that fits in a 2 detachment limit please.

Check out JY2 battle reports for the basics and frontline gaming if you want to see some more.
Tiggy is for low point battles, he gives you a decent chance of gate, although out of the 5 games I've played he's only managed to roll gate 3 times. Sevrin Loth you need for invisibility, without loth you shouldnt be taking the cent star.
For higher point battles you need Draigo and of course a lib. Draigo gives you gate and a hard ass counter assault unit should your opponent do something stupid. If needs be charge his force sword up, with AP2 he can go through wraighknights, dreadknights and that new 5 unit Dark eldar Talos unit.
Now you have the cent star you need a few units to back him up. Firstly get some anti-air, I'd suggest either a storm reaven, a fire raptor or just a bunker with a quad gun. From there you can go all out MSU tact list with red scorpion feel no pain sergeants sitting in the back field with las-cannons/ other heavy weapon. Or you can get a chapter master/khan and load up on bike squads with melta and grav.
My own list looks something like this...
Red scorpians primary
S.loth - 175
Chapter master - bike, a.a., p.f., storm shield, auspex - 215
4 x 5 man bike squads with grav/melta - 540
3 Grav cents - 250
Fire raptor- 220
Nem. strike force
Librarian - TH - 115
Draigo - 245
strike squad - 110
You should mix and match for yourself though. If youre having trouble with units in cover, gate with your chapter master and auspex them. Alternatively you can add in a whirldwind scorpius with the ignores cover upgrade, which is handy for taking out serpenst and knights.

Is Draigo not a Lord Of War? Thought you could only take a Lord of War in a CAD, not in an allied detachment?
Also - be aware that invisibility is heavy nerfed in a lot of tournaments. So one squad of Deathmarks with two Despairteks can usually mess this unit up. Or anything with big, nasty large blasts.

Grey Knights Primary is probably much better for this anyway (as well as legal) because of all the warp charge to fuel that psych star...

He isn't using an allied detachment, he is using a Nem. strike force detachment. LOW are allowed.

Probably the best Centstar build is Space Marines + the Grey Knight Nemesis Strike Force formation. The GKNSF gives you a lot of tools to make the centstar as the primary focus of your offense. However, it really depend on how you want to run your offense. You can either make the centstar the focal point of your offense, in which case you are running a psychic deathstar army build, or you can make your centstar just a smaller part of the offense in a more balanced, Take-All-Comer's role.
As a "roleplayer", the unit should be no more than 1 unit of 3 centurions with possibly 1 character attached. This type of list relies a lot less on the centurion and more on a more balanced attack, with the centurions as a specialist aginst 2+/3+ save units. In such an army, the army isn't crippled if the centurions are taken out.
The other build is the centurionstar (centstar), which is essentially a deathstar army. Such an army is best used with the GKNSF formation for a number of reasons:
1. Draigo for counter-attack and as a tanking unit.
2. Guaranteed Gate of Infinity.
3. The most cost-effective Level 3 librarian in the game - the GK Librarian. Your librarian's first priority should be Divination, which is arguably the best discipline for the centstar. The most important power you can get is Perfect Timing. That powers changes the centstar from dangerous to oh-my-god-WTF-is-this-bullship broken. Then, you want to get Forewarning or Prescience. Forewarning makes the unit much more survivable to enemy AP 1/2 shooting and Prescience makes them better equipped to deal with one of the toughest units for them to deal with - flyers.
4. More psychic dice. The psychic centstar requires a lot of warp dice to function properly. Running any army other than the Grey Knights means that you will quickly run out of warp dice to reliably cast many of your powers. The Grey Knights is what feeds the psychic deathstar as many warp dice as it needs.
Finally, for the Space Marines detachment, you've got 2 choices that are even worth considering - Red Scorpions with Sevrin Loth or the Ultramarines with Tigurius. Loth will give you guaranteed Invisibility or Endurance but not much else. Tigurius, while not guaranteed, will give you a better chance to get powers that you really want (i.e. Perfect Timing).
