I assume he means cards like A Break in the Action, Aleyah Dawnborn, Aura of Anger and Battleshout.

Party (415.8b): Cards in a player's control are collectively called his party. There is no limit to the size of each party. A card enters a player's party as it enters play under a player's control or that player gains control of it. A card leaves a party as it leaves play or changes controllers. A card in play that gains or loses a card type neither enters nor leaves a party.
Essentially, all cards under a single players control counts as a party. If you are playing a team game, each player on each team has a party. If a card says it affects cards in your party and you're playing a team game, it ONLY affects cards under your control. If it says it affects an opposing party, you must choose the opponent you wish to use it on in a team game. The cards that you want, in the case of a team game, are cards that target friendly cards, as those can target your own cards and any card your teammate(s) have in play.
