Nurgle Daemon Princes, fully kitted out, are rocking Hard to Hit, 3+Armour, 2+ cover when jinking, 5++, and toughness either 5 or 8 if they get Iron Arm. And the FnP it can have too.

I have yet to be able to reliably kill one of these things with my Tau or Space Marines/DA, have not faced on with Nids yet.

Problem seems to be getting
a) enough wounds on Hard to Hit to force failed saves
b) things with Ignores Cover and Skyfire
c) Skyfire weapons of AP 3, that can force cover saves

These cursed monstrosities tend to just fly around psychic shrieking my army to death, or landing and chopping them up, if they think they can get away with it.

The best hope I've had was with a Skyray Gunship, but it needs to hit both marker lights to strip cover, and then each missile can get by armour, leaving only 5++, or if i'm unlucky a 4+FnP also.

HALP.

It seems it's just a matter of packing a ton of sky fire stuff, like skyrays and broadsides with VTs, not sure how to deal with them as space marines though, as sky fire is more limited, as is ignores cover.

Skycap, read the rules for Grouded Tests. They specifically say that a unit which fails it's grounding test and becomes Gliding gets no benefit from Jink for the remainder of the turn. Thats what Bob was talking about
