Were choosing an force between high elves and druchi and the main selling point of druchi are their core. Were just wondering if there is any rumor on new high elves spearmen models and archers.

They told me i was crazy, that i could not win with an army list like that. 2000 points later i found out that they were right

I am not sure, but as of the ET book of Khaine, you can combine the forces. So you can roll with DE core and HE special.

Yep. Which is glorious. With Host of the Eternity King, they're now all better than ever before too.

I mean, it's Dakka. I thought snide arguments from emotion were what we did here.

I faced the same problem when I thought about starting fantasy. Most of the core troops look terrible. Not to mention the size creep of newly released models and the fact that the new models look light years better than the old ones. I figured GW would have released new core troops when they released the HE Codex or End Times Khaine, but nope. Looks like we are stuck with old monkey hands for a while.

For high elves core just hit ebay and look for the 4th ed monopose models, still better than the current archers and spearmen...

They really seem to be avoiding re sculpting core models. I mean look at the zombies. What was the last resculpted core regiment box?

I do love me some sea guard, which i know i'm in the vast minority here, but despite how much i love them, they can't hold a candle to darkshards.

Yeah I forgot about them haha. Before that though, there wasn't one for ages. Skaven maybe? I know the High Elves had some of their infantry redone but they were from metal to plastic...
