Apologies if this is an inappropriate question for this forum.

In the Tau Stealth Team kit, there are 3 stealth suits, a marker drone, and... a thing sticking out of the ground. What the heck is that?

Scenery/objective marker I guess. There's nothing in the rules for it anyway.

It never had any rules either, IIRC its was even noted as an objective marker in the kit description once.

I think there was a white dwarf with a parts breakdown for the kit that said Objective Marker actually yeah.

I had the image of a stealth suit burrowing under the ground, the fin on his head sticking up out of the soil.

That is the stealth generator part, I use mine and a tank commander together on a 40mm base as a sniper spotter.
