Hey y'all!

Brief background, I am a WH40K fan and modeler and tend to get carried away building-which creates minis that aren't always playable, like those in the image above.

Anyway, this is a sort of Alternative squad I've been working on for the fun of it, not to play in any games. What do you think??

Any comments, criticisms, or general musings accepted and greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking

Why have I never thought of putting those 3 pouches on the chest piece like that...

That is sheer genius, I have just finished painting 10 Assault marines as well and am so annoyed I didn't see this a few weeks ago when I built them!

Look nice. The flamers look a little awkward being used like that. I f you are going with a top trigger, I might move it to the center of the gun, replacing the little hook thing.

But lot of cool ideas crammed onto those guys.

I agree with the flamer point, I would move the triggers.

Also I wouldn't say these are unplayable at all, I see 5 man squad with a flamer then use that funky heavy bolter guy as a power weapon and bolt pistol Sgt the other three are chainsword and pistol boys.

I would have no qualms someone playing them like that, I have seen far more questionable conversions on the table purporting to be something completely different to what they are equipped with.

As an Ork player, I love the 'uge double chainswords. Very proppa'!

But I agree with throwoff that there should be no reason why you can't use these as a squad if assault marines with a flamer. Could the guy with the big gun be a vet sgt. with a storm bolter? I don't know all the options for marines, but I'm sure you can find something suitable that any reasonable player would accept.
