So i'm working on fabius bile currently, and im stumped on how to do his armour like the gw version. It almost looks like black layered to dark red. Or puprle maybe? Does anyone have any idea how theyve done it before i start and end up in the complete wrong direction?

Given that FB is an original Emperor's Children marine, his PA should be purple.

I would prime grey, wash with a couple of red washes, allow to dry, wash with a couple of light black washes, paying attention to the edges.

This will hopefully give a good, deep colour with dark edges as it appears on the shoulder pad.

The way it looks like GW painted the rest of the armour is a flat black with a dark red edge highlighting touched up with a grey very lightly.

Thanks man. I was originally going to start with purple and layer darker on the inner parts to black but that way will probably look much better. And i know hes supposed to be purple but im not a fan of the block purple armour of ec. My lucius' power armour is black also
