With the amount of upgrades Death company can have, what would you give them? Keep them stock with bolt pistols and chains words? Give one or two thunder hammers? Give them inferno pistols??
I'm just starting out with blood angels so at the moment I don't have more anti tank or anti infantry so I don't really know how to equip my death storm death ccompany. I want them with jump packs.. but after that I'm kinda stuck :/
Any advice helps

Are they really that good? I've heard alot of good stuff about them I have the book in front of me too. Would you not load out for a power fist instead of the sword? Just in case you run into a MC or tank?

I am doing 10 guys, Jump Packs, 7 BP/CCW, 2 BP/PS, 1 Bolter/PF. The swords might be a waste of points in the end with their volume of attacks, but never know.

After years of running a DC themed army , I have learned that PS make their points back VERY quickly (like two in a unit) and now with the possibility of getting +1int 5 attacks on the charge and with astorath re-rolling failed to hit and wounds. its just an insane troop chewing unit.
I generally run more than one squad and have found PF to be a good choice hidden in a squad to take out a big nasty but I generally don't send DC to take on things like armor.
Be aware DC stick out like a sore thumb in your sea of red and gold and in large groups will attract and take on a HUGE amount of fire. while pretty survivable with a 3+ and a FNP there's just too much st8 ap3 large blasts out there.
Personally, I found that more than one small-Med sized squad used wisely is devastating to most opponents OR draws their fire and that's where you have to make tactic choices bases off that.

No, the sword is all. Off the top of my head, the only vehicles with AV greater than 11 on the back are the Land Raider and Monolith (and some FW stuff), and those were never the best targets for DC, fists or no. I like DS melta to deal with such things. The rest, DC can glance to death with volume of attacks if they have to.
As for MCs, I try to avoid them with DC, preferring shooting them down that losing models in CC.

Keep the upgrades to a minimum.
One or two power fists should suffice.

About one PF or Power Axe per 5 guys, Jump Packs and BP/Chainsword. Keep the heavy hitters in the back, hug terrain, then attack. They can kill just about anything in if they get into close combat.

I do multiple DC units, each one 7 men with jump packs, 5 normies, 1 psword, 1 pfist. If I run Astorath, he'll be in one squad and abandon it when it gets too hurt and join the other.

Now that jump packs are dirt cheap for DC, is there any reason to run them in a Drop Pod or Rhino anymore? Oh, and I think if you are going to go with only a single power weapon, Power Maul is the way to go. Str 7 can deal with all but the highest armor values. Since you are pumping out so many attacks, I wouldn't worry about AP either.

No, drop pod and rhino take away tactical flexibility, imo.

agreed unless you're going alpha strike and/or using our new formation where it works, it just takes away flexibility and hurts going from cover to cover, or getting over/around cover.
I still like a PS, a couple PS and either a chaplain or astorath make , C: SM and CSM go bye bye a long with most any troop in the game.
A few points I'd like to make as someone who runs these to death and has for years
-If you stick someone with them, Astorath makes them amazing but a huge target. Priest are a high investment considering they already have FNP and the WS boost is less effective in general than a chaplains re-rolls to hit, while chaplains are less effective than they were by far, they are still an ok choice for DC.
-I personally do not like to use them as a armor killer any more than I do normal marines, we have better units for this easily (dual 5 man melta ASM, DC/Furioso Dread etc).
-Depending on the Tyranid MC they CAN kill a MC quickly, however against most MC they will either die or be a short tar pit at best.
-Do NOT plan your entire game plan around DC , if you do then you WILL be disappointed when they get targeted quickly. seen one to many a player slap down a big blob of these , run them out in the open and think they can survive and be highly disappointed when they are destroyed and then tell everyone how DC suck......

Only if you want them to accompany Mephiston or something like that.

I'm aiming for 8 guys. All Jump Packs, one Power Sword and one TH.
That's 229 points, leaving you a single point for Sanguinary Priest to have a bolt pistol

If you want a cheap unit, 5 dudes with jump packs and either a power sword or fist will do nicely. Its enough to beat up on tac squads, other troop choices, or wreck vehicles.
If you want to go bigger, 8 death co with 2x power swords and a power fist.
