Hey guys,

Quick post, hope someone will be able to offer some advice. I wanted to add 'special effects' elements to some miniature photos, like the ones below.

Does anyone know of any tutorials or software that can help with this kind of thing? Basic laser or bullet effects, possibly the odd 'BLAM' or 'WHAM' batman-style exclamation effects. Is this done with some photoshop tomfoolery?

Greatful for any advice or points in the right direction!

Download GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), it is free and has many tutorials (including on Youtube) available on how to achieve the effects you want.

(ignore me - I don't know what I am doing)

Many thanks guys!

Will be sure to download GIMP and give that a try. Already tried typing 'gimp' into Youtube, and then quickly realised it would be safer to type 'GIMP image manipulation;
