WOLVES UNLEASHED DETACHMENT

HQ

195 WGBL (TM,BD,SS,AoR,HoD) PERSONAL TRAITS (no reroll but still 4 out of 6 are great )

110 RUNEPRIEST (TDA,ML2 DIVINATION)

TROOPS

168 6xGH (1xPLASMA) + WG(COMBI PLASMA), DROP POD

195 10xGH (2xMELTA,DROP POD)

195 10xGH (2xMELTA,DROP POD)

FAST ATTACK

245 4xTWC (3xSS,1xSS/PF)

235 STORMWOLF (2xTLMM)

HEAVY SUPPORT

155 5xLF (4xLC)

TACTICS

WGBL joins the thunderwolves and together they support pods. 2 of the 3 pods alpha strike. Runepriest joins longfangs for rerolls and tanks ap3+ wounds while longfangs sit on a ruin for 4+cover and with split fire they shoot to 2 targets a turn, with priority one being transports in order to rapid fire the contents with the GHs. The flyer comes in turn 2 for heavy anti tank anti flying support. I chose this detachment because it manipulates reserves and really helps with the flyer and the 3rd pod cause I don't risk to bring them late and cost me the game. I think this list has plenty of bodies, lots of twin linked ap1,2 and a scary assault unit. What do you think??? C&C please CHEERS!!!

Me personally. I prefer MLs for my long fangs. a lot more versatility. In low model count armies (as wolves tend to be) you want those templates to thin out the hordes yet still be able to chip away at armour. those extra points could be used to upgrade your WGBL to a lord, another TWC, or get that GH unit a drop pod so that you can bring 2 in turn 1.

MLs for long fangs dont cut it anymore. You cant kill vehicles cause of ap3 and for 5 points more lascannons are better at that role. For hordes i dont need blasts i got rapid fire boltguns. As for the wolf lord is it really better to trade 55 points for +1 WS, +1W, +1A and +1 Ld and get istant gibbed by a nemesis dread knight while my WGBL can reroll hits with just 20 points more?

PS the plasma squad has a pod but i forgot to write it in the list above although it is calculated in the squads point cost

Thnx for feedback !!

Looks solid actually.

This being competative my only concern is that you only start with 2 (?) units on the table before drop pods and fliers arrive.

You could be tabled by a brutal first turn by opponent...

Let the galaxy burn.
