Hey guys!

I posted a similar list a few days ago, but didn't receive a lot of feedback and would really love even just a few quick comments. This list is for a tournament coming up, which has the following rules:
- "Army composition score" counts for 30% of final score, so the less OP sounding the better (also means I'm probably less likely to verse other spam lists)
- No warlord traits
- No special formation / detachment bonuses
- No LOW
- No fortifications
- No allies
- No objective secured
- Must take 1 HQ and 2 Troops minimum

HQ.
- Librarian (goes w. either GKSS or GKT)

Troops
- 5 GKT w. 1 Psycannon
- 5 GKSS (most likely riding in stormraven)

Heavy Support
- Stormraven w. multi-melta and TLAC
- NDK w. teleporter, Heavy Incinerator and Heavy Psycannon
- NDK w. teleporter, Heavy Incinerator

I would really love to find points for things like a libby combi-weapon, GKSS incinerator, NDK swords etc., but don't think that sacrificing psycannons is a worthy trade.

Anyway, let me know if you have any feedback you can offer! How do you think this would fair in a 1000 point environment? Thanks

- Will

Looks pretty brutal for 1k with those restrictions.

You could probably drop the 'Raven for a tonne more options. While there's not likely to be much air in 1k, you're also putting a minimum of 20% of your force off the board, possibly until turn 4.

Still, if you do take it, most opponents won't have an answer for it I suspect.

The main strength of the new GK codex is the NSF detachment's special rule. But since you can't use that, you're currently looking at starting 2 models on the board or foot-slogging the terminators. You'll likely lose the objective games.

I'd drop the Stormraven and the Terminators in favor of GKSS with Razorbacks. Normally this isn't optimal but given the low points cost and all the restrictions I think it's your best bet for the objective game.

Thanks heaps guys for the feedback

It seems like you've both suggested the same thing, which is that I'm too dependent on waiting for reinforcements. I was thinking that for objectives, since I only need control them by the end of the game, I could just try hide my two NDKs out of range and sight for the first couple of rounds and wait to see when my reinforcements roll up, then shunt to the objectives and try to clear them for the end game. Does that sound like an unrealistic plan?

What about this list as an alternative then?

HQ.
Libby w. combi-melta, daemonhammer - 120

Troops
5 GKSS w. Rhino - 145
5 GKSS w. Rhino - 145

Fast Attack
5 Interceptors w. Incinerator - 135

HS
1 x Dreadknight, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon, Personal Teleporter, Greatsword - 215
1 x Dreadknight, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon, Personal Teleporter, Greatsword - 215

It would deliver a much stronger turn 1 punch with the interceptors, the extra heavy psycannon and the two rhinos moving up the field. My main fears with these changes would be that the libby is stuck either slogging on his own or sitting off the board waiting to arrive, and when he does arrive he either hides in a corner or is a free warlord kill. I also feel like the Strikes in rhinos are just free kill points that will potentially do very little - I feel like GKT w. a psycannon are just much more useful. Also, I feel a bit more worried about anti-air with this list, but I could hopefully just ignore it? I would much prefer to take lascannon razorbacks, but not sure what to drop.

Thanks again guys, please lemme know whether you think this would be a better change or not

Hmm. I am just not a fan of GKSS unless your running into points issues. Personally I would run something like.

HQ: 145
Libby:
Staff:
Combi-melta:
Psyker 3:

Troop 1: 211
5 Terminators:
Psycannon:
Falshions:
1 Deamon Hammer

Troop 2: 211
5 Terminators:
Psycannon:
Falshions:
1 Deamon Hammer

HS
1 x Dreadknight, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon, Personal Teleporter, Greatsword- 215
1 x Dreadknight, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon, Personal Teleporter, Greatsword- 215

Your whole force is 2+ armor saves with this. You have the ability to keep some of your termis in reserve or can ds them in depending on map. Feel free to change the weapon on the Libby I just like the staff for the +2 str. However I don't know the way your Army comp score is scored so this might come across as "Cheesy".

A perhaps more "rounded" list could be something like:

HQ: 145
Libby:
Staff:
Combi-melta:
Psyker 3

Troop 1: 185
5 GKSS
Razorback:
Lascannon TL Plasma gun

Troop 2: 211
5 Terminators:
Psycannon:
Falshions:
1 Deamon Hammer

Fast Attack: 230
Storm Raven:
TL Multi-melta
TL Lascannon
Hurricane Bolters

Heavy 1: 210
Dreadknight,
Heavy Incinerator,
Heavy Psycannon,
Personal Teleporter,
Deamon hammer

No repeating units with this this list but I think much less powerful then the previous.
