Hey Everyone!
Not sure if this is the right spot for this since it is kinda news, but also will generate some discussion. I also did not see it previously posted, so anyways....

I was surfing the GW site since my lady is starting up Orks and I was prompted to take a survey...by GW

Before anyone gets too excited, it was simply about their webstore and my experience in it. What I found interesting is that the company which has shown a complete lack of attention for their player base actually wanted to hear from me about their site. There were quite a few questions about why I was on it, what was I looking to do, and what prevented me from making a purchase today. When I selected my reasons, I was given a box to fill in some of my opinions and reasons for not making a purchase. I was honest and professional in my feedback as to why I was not looking to purchase from their store (prices) and things that turn me off about their website (lack of how to painting articles, interesting reads, too high of a threshold for free shipping, etc).

I thought this was something that the community would find interesting. If you have not had the opportunity to take it, I would recommend doing so. Not that I think it will change the direction of the company, but I think it is good start that GW wants to hear SOMETHING from us.

GW does listen to its fan base. It's why we have fliers, and lords of war, and monstrous creatures everywhere, and unbound, and supplemental codices. GW listens, it just listens to "other people".

I am surprised about the webstore thing, though. They could certainly use the help now that they wasted millions and a year of time on it, only to produce what we have now. Perhaps it's starting to take "selling great models" as seriously as producing them in the first place?

Your one-stop website for batreps, articles, and assorted goodies about the men of Folera: Foleran First Imperial Archives. Read Dakka's favorite narrative battle report series The Hand of the King. Also, check out my commission work, and my terrain.

Abstract Principles of 40k: Why game imbalance and list tailoring is good, and why tournaments are an absurd farce.

Read "The Geomides Affair", now on sale! No bolter porn. Not another inquisitor story. A book written by a dakkanought for dakkanoughts!

The company contracted to produce the webstore will almost certainly be the ones collecting the replies, not gw.

Yes, filled this out a couple of months ago. Made some scathing comments about it not being worth visiting anymore due to a lack of painting & modelling articles.

I was too. Hopefully something positive comes out of it.

Perhaps, but I am sure they will share their findings with GW since they are a client. What GW decides to do with the data is yet to be seen.

I am right there with ya. This is the first time I was prompted to take the survey and did.

Well maybe someone questioned Kirby or called him out on why they don't do no research that he so beastly and proudly proclaimed.

So this could be the first step in change of short term growth.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I went over to the GW webstore and browsed for a few mins and sure enough I got asked to take the survey. Sadly I accidentally closed the tab before I could take it

Quoted from the truth given what we have seen over the years!

I am sure if you go back to the site and browse a little, you will have another opportunity.
