Looking for advice for a tournament coming up. I want something that actually competes as an ork player. I was thinking 3x 5 man squads of nobz, with 2 sets of 2 saws in each squad for tank/knight hunting, blitz brigade to actually get to the other side, then some troops and a leader. I don't have my book with me at the moment, but I was thinking 2 min 10 man squads of orks in the other wagons, nob and p.klaw, and a warboss and painboy on bikes with bikers (though I think I am pretty close to ponts cap already.

Is the blitz brigade necessary? I could take 3 wagons, and then 2 trukks for the orks for objectives. Have points left over for bikers and maybe some traktor kanons. I don't know whats competitive for orks anymore.

The only issue is how expensive points (and model) wise this combination can be. The Scout movement on the Wagons is a pretty big deal and helps units get up the board even faster, or allow them to Outflank if they start in reserve. A huge boon to what is our best transport. But there's a lot to factor in too.

I would suggest running a full blob of Boyz if you plan on putting them in the wagons. Wagons a pricey and their purpose goes to waste if you don't fill em up. If you wanted to go just a barebones boy squad, you'd be better not using the formation and sticking them in Trukks and save some points.

If you're set on just a squad of 10 or something, then you could always put them in the wagon but put a Kill Kannon on them (Which reduces the capacity of the Wagon down to 10 anyway)

Depending on what point games you intend to play at, you then have room for supporting units. Trakktors are alright, but if your local meta doesn't use a lot of fliers, you'd be better off using Kustom Mega Kannons for S8 Ap2 pie plates. Bikers are always a great option and tossing a Warboss on a bike to lead them is amazing.

I'll be honest, I don't own any Mega Nobz, so how best to get them around is not my specialty. It seems most Ork players use Trukks due to how cheap and fast they are compared to the Battle Wagons. Taking the formation makes up for the Wagon's lack of speed due to the Scout move, but you also have to pay a hefty premium for the Wagons (And getting extra wagons you might not be able to put to good use anyway since you HAVE to take 5 WITH rams)

While I havent really played my orks a lot recently I noticed (at least IMO) that nobz had a serious drop in effectiveness in this edition, and the lack of Invuln saves at all hurts the army if trying to build anything but "put as many of X on the table as possible" I also agree with Melevolence, if you arent filling the wagons its not really worth it.

have you considered flash gitz / are they an option for you? I found them to be extremely effective in the few games I played (mostly vs Nids and Black templars)

Another option is manz missiles x 3

If you don't enjoy playing against people with unpainted armies, break into their house when they sleep, paint their figures for them, help yourself to their cheerios and then your problems will be solved.
Well, my opponents usually don't have more than 1-2 Wave Serpents 'cos Serpent spam is very expensive in real life money.

I decided to go with the bullyboyz, and buy them 3 battlewagons, then 2 trukks with boyz in em, and a warboss on bike, painboy on bike, some bikers, and mek guns. Should be a farily hard hitting army. Might get stomped by nids though heh.

Correct me if I'm wrong, your Bully Boyz is illegal. I believe the formation requires you to take 3 squads of 5, so you'll need to make room in your list for 3 more, one for each squad.
