2014 is over, and it is time to take stock of what you get done on the wargaming front this year. Consider this your chance to humblebrag about all the great stuff you have done. Here is what I got done in 2014.
Tyranid for Aeronautica Imperialis:

Varingyr for Aeronautica Imperialis:
Blood Bowl Mummies to finish off my Khemri Team:
A single Arbelas/Scissori Gladiator
However, on the Rules Creation front I was much more productive. I finished:
The Games: Blood and Spectacle- A 28mm Gladiator game where the individual matches are just as important as managing the growth of your Ludus through a Gladiatorial season. You can read the rules here:
https://app.box.com/s/ntrgx0qon573jt6ttsis
JUGS: A Game of Big, Stompy Robots- A miniature agnostic set of mecha/ robot rules including unit creation, combined arms, and an action/reaction initiative system. Now, you too can pilot Jugs on the pay roll of the Corporate States. Check out the rules here:
https://app.box.com/s/0b5nnx4677j09lpjpqho
The Curse of the White Wyrm- This was an Aeronautica Imperialis campaign that featured new missions, new aircraft, new special equipment, and new factions. Such factions as the Tyranids and Necrons were added to the game universe. Check out the campaign here:
https://app.box.com/s/aeei1ce1xksatf6208nc
And the updated Airspace Rules Compilation here:
https://app.box.com/s/2mwdb2pl02nu9mxe6ns0
2014 was a good year for rules creation and game design, but a slow start on the mIni-painting front this year. Hopefully, One-Mini-A-Month 2015 will help me paint more stuff for systems other than Aeronautica Imperialis.

I tried to start a similar thread over in the painting section. Probably would have got more hits if I started after 2014 was over.
Here is what a year’s worth of work from my paint bench looks like:
Not pictured is an IG psyker I did for a friend, and the last minute stuff I tried to cram into the last week to try to meet my goals for the year.
Which includes three more VVs:
And part of a stormraven I’d like to finish by the end of the week.

Sadly... not much. I finished* painting one elven prince, and have basecoated about 60% of a tau army.
I did however build about 3200 points of fantasy, and an entire 2800 Tau army. Primed almost all of that too, and then did the aforementioned basecoating.
I will say this, this led to 2015's new years resolution: paint more than I buy, paint every week.
* = i probably got abou1000 points of fantasy to within a hairs breath of "finished", but i'm a slow painter and i'm extremely finnicky about results.

Got rid of over half of my GW. Sold over 10k points of Chaos and almost that many points of Sisters (yes I had a rather large SOB army). Replaced them with gaming systems I am actually having fun playing. Pondering on what I should now do with my IG. Not sure I can sell 18 LRMBTs and 2 Baneblades in one lot but would hate to split them up.

Got just a hair over 300 minis painted, and bought only 150, so that's a 2:1 ratio I'm very happy with, although I shall endeavour to beat it this year.
I started 3 new games, Space Hulk, Infinity and Malifaux. I made four forays into writing my own rulesets, with a simple D20 RPG, a 1/72 mass battle game, and a pair of Star Wars rulesets for space and ground combat. I forsee more of that over the next year, as it's very entertaining to work through the process, I find.
Last year was sadly very sparse on the gaming front, though. My gaming group has all but disintegrated and I got maybe half a dozen games in total over the last 12 months, which is something I'd very much like to remedy but am stuck for how to. I have the space to play, I have minis coming out of my ears, but no opponents in the area.

I built about 4,000 points of Tyranids, painted less than that, and bought probably another 200 models. sigh. I sold an Eldar army, a bunch of Space Wolves, and focused my work on the bugs. Obtained a dedicated storage space for just war gaming stuff - not in the garage! - and actually played a game!
2015 will be great.

There should be some kind of 'medal of honour' for this!
Think the only one I have matched there is the second but last one..

Last year I basically collected the Cyriss faction.
I have all models up to the colossal which I will not buy unless I'll play 50 pts.
In tourneys 42 pts are played here.

I painted a small Imperial Guard army, a small Vampire Counts army, and a Space Marine flier detachment with an Imperial Knight to go along with it.
Of course, these were all commissions so I'll never get to see them on the tabletop.

I painted 7 IG tanks and chimeras, 40 guardsmen and HWT, 1 Contemptor dreadnought, 20 Lamenters space marines and 15 Imperial ships for Battlefleet: Gothic. I assembled a Rhino and custom-built a 'Arnan' Leman Russ as originally designed and tutorialized by iPaint (a Dakka and Warseer member of great skill and generous spirit).
I also gave away some of my old Dark Angels to a great young man who is wildly enthusiastic about them - the best thing I did all year was share the game with other great people, now friends.
I have never enjoyed wargaming and Warhammer 40K like I did in 2014. I already have finished a Lamenters Assault Terminator squad and can't wait to see what else 2015 brings!
