Okay, so I'm bored and taking a break from the housework....
If CB did another box similar to O:I what would folks like to see in it?
Can be due to background e.g. Tohaa vs CA* (I think) or starter armies that might balance well against each other. Or even getting armies that 'need' a new vanilla starter set going.
I would like to see Haqqislam vs Yu Jing. Hi-tech vs low tech might be good or bad though. Both very different looking armies. Neither seems to have a 'new' vanilla starter.
*I don't think these armies would be a contender as they both recently got new starter boxes.

I think thematically Nomads vs. Aleph might be a nice idea, with some sort of outer space/space station theme.
Have some kind of campaign/mission setting where the Nomads are trying to knock out or steal some Aleph info, and the AI's defense force mobilises...
Not sure whether Alien on Alien would be attractive enough for a starter. A CA/Ariadna box might work, have some of the battles on Paradiso represented where the CA are trying to establish for a foothold and the Ariadnan troops are conducting guerilla tactics against them. Might actually be cool to launch that alongside some of the new Ariadna range that is coming along!

JSA or ALeph against CA would be great.

Yeah, I think you've got to get the Combined Army into a starter vs. (x).

Combined army versus Acontecimento or generic PanO. That would be a stroke on my strings.

Yeah combined are a good one to have in a starter as at least looks wise they are very different to other models so those guys again a human army would be great, preferably an army who isn't already in icestorm. Tohaa are alien too but look a lot more human than CA.

Tohaa are alien too but look a lot more human than CA. CA vs Tohaa would be pretty cool now you mention that, but I don't think you could put both alien races in the same box. How about Hassassin vs Shasvastii? Both sneaky factions trying to out-manuver each other could make for a fun story. Not sure how well it would work from a game-play perspective though.

Yeah I would prefer Human vs CA rather than Tohaa vs CA tbh too.
I would love JSA against CA mostly because I want to see the JSA starter updated.

Of the factions that aren't Pano or Nomads, Yu Jing and Haqqislam are the most capable of having 'standard' infantry. It'd be brutal high-tech lovers of HI versus humanist medium-tech lovers of LI.
Plus, the story could be an ISS offensive against a QK silk caravan. Maybe even a JSA raid on a Caliphate biotech facility.
Haqqis get three Halqa (one doctor), a Djanbazan MI sniper, a minelayer with HFT, and a Asawira HI with a rifle. Teaches about doctors, mines, and MSV.
Yu Jing gets three vanilla LI (one sniper), a TO Ninja, a cheap TerraCotta-style cheap HI, and a fancy ARM4 HI Camo DaoFei. Teaches about TO and normal Camo.
"Advanced Missions" can then introduce rules of Mechanized Deployment, Impersonation, Martial Arts, and Hackers. Haqqi now get access to a special-sculpt Fiday Hacker and their Halqa can now MechDeploy. Yu Jing get access to their Ninja now being a Hacker and a special-sculpt Hsien with MSV.
Also now's a good time to explain intuitive attacks with templates and camo. Which MSV works against or doesn't work against what camo/mines/impersonation/whatevs.

That wouldn't work for a Caliphate starter. Halqa have been confirmed as the LI for the Khanate sectorial. I wouldn't be surprised to see Zhayedans as the LI, especially given the fluff that they can perform super solider-like feats without any form of enhancment, plus their Automedkit in their basic kit (Caliphate will be tied closely to the Al Medinat). The perfect 'grunts' to keep up with the super soliders.
My guess for a Caliphate sectorial starter would really be putting in a few super soldiers, since they seem to be the sectorials forte, and sectorial starters don't seem to focus on the basics. 3x Zhayedans (probably get a 3 model blister in the interim, then repacked into the starter) and a Khawarijs. To round it off, two of the new super soldiers like the Numair (apparently bike-like movement speed) or Muktar (Ajax-like heavy infantry).

Is it wrong I'd love to see a faction Vs a merc unit? maybe the faction is rushing a merc facility, or the mercs are paid to capture something.

If they opt to do Sectorials in any potential new starter set pairings, then they could definitely do Mercs since "Acheron Falls" has Sectorials for two(potentially three) Merc Companies.
There's the "White Stars"(Druze and Scarface+Cordelia, then a few more of the "less honorable" mercenaries) and "Beyhan Resources Ltd."(Kaplan Shock Troops--this is the more "honorable" mercenary group where civilian casualties are a no-no).
I could see the White Stars(a merc group which commonly is employed by MagnaObra) fighting against a USAriadna or other Ariadnan Sectorial as the box.

I'd be all over USAriadna vs whatever the Sygmaa sectorial will be (EI?).
Would be a good way to introduce USA, I bet it would sell well here. Not sure if CB would do sectorials for a starter set though and considering that CA just got a new starter, I don't think it's likely.
If I had to guess, I'd say a new vanilla Ariadna starter with some USA troops, vs a new vanilla Yu Jing/Haqqislam starter. Since those are all the oldest from what I can tell.

Actually, I'd love to see Ariadna vs Tohaa starter with some sort of backstory included about the whole Dawn (was it Dawn? Been a while since I read that fluff) incident.

This is so well-thought out and intuitively awesome that I've got to give you a big old . As one of the O:I newbies, I'd also buy this box in half-a-second.
