This Xmas a friend of mine gave me a set of Ravenwing bikers, and being that I don't play Dark Angels I got converting and came up with this ugly little thing. Its just a very basic 4x4 vehicle that can carry at least four men plus equipment and handle any terrain that a taurox can and mount a heavy weapon if needed.

I'm thinking that being as the design works I will build several of these, with a little heavier armament for use in friendly games.

cool build, i cant help feeling that its needs to be a bit more heavy duty lookin thoughg. the poor driver has no protection from the elements, let alone enemy fire! its seems like you have plasticard to work with, so google some military vehicles.. foxhound, jackal, mastiff etc, and build up some armour plating to make it a bit thicker and more military looking, with some sort of armament in the passenger side or the back. some supplies hung off the sides or cluttered in the back would add realism too, jerry cans, ammo crates, tools etc.

I think it depends on the look you're going for. It bears a resemblance to a willys jeep used in WWII, Korea, & even early Vietnam. It had minimal to no protection aside from an occasional cloth top & was even outfitted with weapons & sent into battle this way.

Exactly, they couldn't take a hit worth a dam but they worked and filled a lot of roles, and they can fit in my WIP dropship

And I might make a cloth top if I make more of them but frankly this is the Imperial Guard we're talking about, its not like they care about the comfort and safety of there men...

I also bought something this evening
Spoiler:
Yep I'm making a cut down, SAS version...

Now heres an interesting image, this could be fun for a little variety.

#2 is almost ready for paint, I changed a few basic design features and used the last of my styrene tube. This one is a full fledged attack and scouting vehicle and can be equipped with an auto cannon, heavy bolter or lascannon so it can hold its own even against other vehicles, thanks to a very low profile and now doubt high speed. I need to come up with some rules and playtest this little guy at the local club, as always ideas about the stats would be appreciated.

I should get this thing finished in the next couple of days, c&c is appreciated.
