So this might be OP as all Heck but what about making Spell Familiars cost 30pts but they allow you to re-roll any spell rolls. This could help you prevent perils. But if it is a warp charge cost 2 you might risk failing if you re roll one of the sixes so i don't think it would be that horrible.

I'd say 20pts and let you reroll one die.

What about making it a retinue model. Together with a combat familliar.

I know it'd make things a bit more complicated, but why not have the familiar take the brunt of the peril on its own chart?

On a 6 it can be used again, on a 2-5 it dies, on a 1 it turns into a daemon?

I like this. But instead of making it a Damon on a 1 the familiar dies and the caster takes a wound, but the perils chart roll does not happen.

Because we need to add more random rolling to the chaos' psychic phase... cool idea otherwise, though.

What other random rolling do you mean? This is a real question. rarely use anybody but Typhus so i don't have many extra rules.
