I really can't really gauge how big they're. Normal dread arms are probably too large for them though.

That's some pretty piss-poor design on the Centurions - at least for something that's $26 per model, and the flagship army. The up-armored Rhino looks pretty cool, though I'm not sold on the two independent guns.

Only far less cool. They're just sort of blobby and wall like. Like when people put on those big fat sumo wrestling suits: "I just need drills under my hands and you are so dead!"

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

Woulod see more of the rhino thing but looks promising, the other TDA thingys look ok. Again will need to see better pics, with some converting(if possible) may look pretty good. Funny enough I was actually thinking of such a suit about a year ago but could never find the right base model/bits to do it with. Although the guns/drills on the end of the arms look a little out of place...stupid comes to mind. But we'll see.

Finally I can put my 3 dreadknights on the table, knowing that they are no longer the silliest looking models ever made, but now come second to the centurions.
I know there will be people that love them, and thats fine be me. But imho, they look pretty bad. My least favourite part is the feet look so goofy, like dreadnought legs, with a termie body, with a mraine inside?
The tank on the other hand, does look quite nice, will be interesting to see rules and points for the AA tanks. See if they are good enough to change the meta.

Hmm the dreadknight is not that bad lol they are kinda realistic, why have a huge robotic head when theres nothing in it. This Centurions are unique which at first might look weird but soon people will like them.

I'm not exactly rushing out to buy either. Though I'll probably find that the stalker may be needed...
I'm still of the opinion that these new Centurion guys will probably end up making terminators redundant. Well, tactical terminators MORE redundant. I suppose the assault ones will depend on if they're allowed in a transport. - Possibly 'very bulky'?
I was honestly thinking that this may turn the release around from me being so negative about GW. It hasn't happened yet.

i.......don't really care for the centurions, though the problems i have seem like simple fixes, ditch the bare heads, and somewhat downsize the weapons on the arms...though clearer pictures might very well show other problem areas

New models look awesome! Hope the codex is good too. Really hope marines have become ALOT cheaper. A full tac squad with upgrades at 150 points is what is needed to make them remotely interesting. Also the ability to use 2 special weapons instead of one.

Centurions look ridiculous. But that's fine, they're Space Marines, so actually I'm quite glad.
The AA Rhino looks alright though, and I'm glad it-s rhino-esque which will probably mean AV11, so it won't be too hard to take out.

I can't wait for this to be true. As a new painter I've heard so many things about the older metal models and even the Finecast resin miniatures which is why, the news that a plastic Librarian and Chaplain are on the way is great. Not to mention my favorite models thus far, the Sternguard veterans

My problem with the Centurions, helmets aside, is that they appear to be holding the weapons in oversized fists. It would have been far better to mount the weapon systems instead of holding them.

Big "meh' on the Centurions. They're basically the Codex: Grey Knights Dreadknight concept art, and that's cool and all but really not very interesting. Hopefully the shooting version will look better than this-- those drills are extremely silly. Also, hopefully there's a helmet option for these things-- while I could bust out my supply of crazy bionics heads, I'd prefer to keep every guy in my army helmeted.
That said, the anti-air tank looks AWESOME. Definite purchase for me if the rules are even semi-playable.

For me I will probably equip the Centurions 2 ways.
Lascannon and missile launcher or Heavy bolter and hurricanbolter
The assualty ones are confusing, I could use melta if i need to pop the tank then assualt the troops inside so melta and assualt launcher
Or vs infantry, Flamer and Hurricanebolter

Stalwart Space Marine
|
Um... wow that's an intense blue tone. I might like the models more if the paintjob were a little less garish.
A first sight - the Centurions could be a decent alternative for Oblits in an Iron Warriors army - the original models haven't aged really well. Or maybe as some grotesque cyborg creatures in a counts-as-AdMech force.
I don't really see them as part of my Marines, though. Not too enamoured of the Centurions concept anyway - I don't really think SM with Devs, Termies or artillery Dreads needed their own Broadside equivalent.
The tank looks nicely chunky, though. Dunno if I personally need one, as I only have to deal with a single Dakkajet in my entire gaming group, but it might be fun to paint anyway.

Hmm. The Stalker doesn't look bad. GW is spreading the Rhino design space pretty thinly, but that's to be expected. I'm liking the new front plate. I hope the Hunter looks as nice.
The Centurions might be all right, I want to see the Devastator variants, and more shots of them in general. Shame they couldn't redo the Dreadnought instead, but the basic model has already been mostly superceded by the Veteran and Ironclad.

I don't really like the centurions as they stand, but I can see some brilliant ork conversions in there. I already have an idea for a Gaz count as. I don't like them, and I don't like the Gaz model as it is too gangly, but I can make something awesome between them.
