I've been meaning to get these guys done for AGES, and since I've been painting pink all year, I wanted to do something as different as possible. Hence, BLUE PIT SLAVES! Originally, this was just going to be a slight blue tinge to their skin but I got carried away. The bright base rims are traditional in our Necromunda group. Helps find your models hidden amongst all that scenery...!

Made from the original Pit Slave models (with some head swaps to hide duplicates), some Chaos Cultists and a lot of bits.

Here's the Pit Slave Chief - Bionic Bill, armed with shears, a chainsaw and a grenade launcher. He's built from the body of an old plastic goliath ganger, with a sentinel chainsaw, original shears, cadian launcher and a head and leg from Anvil Industries.

We then have two Technos. The original pit slave model with a replacement arm and plasma gun, and a conversion from a Chaos Cultist, with arms from Anvil and an ork shoota as an autoslugger.

Here's one Pit Fighter, with a chainsaw from a 2ed ork kit and original shears. Hazard markings are done with a micron pen.

And the second Pit Fighter, with a head swap to a Victoria Minis penal legionnaire, and original chainsaw and rock drill.

Then, two original Pit Slaves with hammers and autopistols.

And two more, one with another hammer and one converted from a Chaos Cultist with a rock drill

.

And the final pit slave, with a bionic marine head and a buzz saw.

They look great! I love the blue skin, and the paint job doesn't make the models look anywhere near as dated as the studio paint job did. Great work

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Ha! Yes, but a good amount of those models aren't the original sculpts - maybe the variation helps?

That's a really unique necro gang! To me they look like frozen dead folks who have been "re-purposed".

They look really great, the blue skin reminds me of the Rogue Trooper game

That is good work. I like the conversions, especially the model with the ork Shoota. The plasma gun model looks a little awkward, but plasm guns and other huge weapons are hard to put on many models.

Dude these pit slaves are awesome, I love the subtle conversions! As said the scheme looks very modern for retro models.
