After my latest spree if painting I'm going to have approx 2000pts of painted Space Marines. I want a treat myself at the end by adding something. My thoughts was maybe a rifleman dreadnought or more scouts.

I'm looking for suggestions but here's what I will have:

Terminator Captain
Librarian (Assault pack)
Chaplain

Venerable Dreadnought (multiple arms)
5 man terminator squad
5 man sternguard

7 scout snipers
Tactical squad
Tactical squad

Assault Squad
Srorm talon

2 x Rhino
Razorback
Drop pod

Thunderfire cannon
Devastator Squad

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Very tempted with centurions but was unsure how they would fit.

My other thoughts were a rifleman dreadnought, landraider, scout squad or another tactical to introduce Grav weapons.

They will fit just fine, give them grav cannons.
Point for point, they are way more destructive than anything else

Rifleman dread is a fun unit, plus it allows you to buy some Forgeworld arms.

Maybe look at Forgeworld, a Sicaran? I have always had the idea that once I am finished with my Marines at about 2/2.5k I will get a Forgeworld unit just to polish them off.

Forgeworld has some fun dreadnoughts if you're looking to treat yourself to something nice, such as the double upgraded assault cannons (they fire 6 shots I think) on the contemptor mortis. Alternatively, you can never go wrong with a land raider. Haven't used centurions (I'm DA), so can't say if I like them or not.

Centurions all the way. They add decent firepower for little cost. Also, FW has some great units depending on how much you want to drop.

Centurions would likely fit the list pretty well. definatly worth considering,

if your terminators are tatical terminators I'd also reccomend looking into some assault termies

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

If those are the new Sternguard and you have all of them bits left... Buy a 10 man tactical squad. Use Sternguard bits to make 5 of them into Sternguard an the remaining 5 could be used for bodies for your Devastators.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

More Tactical Marines are never a bad idea. I am also becoming a huge fan of all things bikes at the moment. So much so I am considering starting a Ravenwing army.

Bruins fan till the end.

Never assume anything, it will only make an ass of you and me.

If this is a reward to yourself for all the hard work painting, You might want to do something you’ve had your painter’s eye on, rather then a gamer’s perspective. Cool HQ from another army, a flashy unit that’s not the same color power armor as the rest of your guys (LotD) or a FW squad/unit.

Painters eye is probabily a good way for me to go, that puts me to 4 options:

Centurions
Rifleman dreadnought
Imperial knight
Legion of the dammed

A proper battle tank, get a cool centerpeice model and all. I'd suggest a LR Redeemer or a Vindicator of things with plastics, a Sicarian if you're up for FW.

DevCents are great in big games (Devastators are more efficient in smaller games), Assault Centurions are only really effective if you need to fight a Titan and then only with Flyer delivery.
