So as my Ork army gets bigger and better things, I feel I need to break down and add some centurions for that extra firepower.

I am not a huge fan of the centurion models, but more importantly I can't really justify spending the $65 on three models. I do really like the weapons in the kit and will look to get some bits.

I've been looking online and I haven't found a true scratch build for centurions or a cheap alternative.

I have five tactical termites I was thinking of trying to convert. Anyone seen a decent set of converted or scratch built centurions?

Thanks!

You could probably use some bits from the termies but to me, the centurions look more like ordinary marines with extra armour. Maybe have a look into making some press molds to produce some additional armour plating for the termies and give them ordinary tactical marine heads. Make sure you post pics!

Ok, you want them to count-as centurions, but do they have to _look_ like centurions? If rules-wise they'll be allies of your orks, then why not model them as orky centurion equivalents? They'd probably look something like killa kanz, but more heavily armoured and with different weapons of course. Not trivial to scratch-build such things, but far easier than scratch-building a marine centurion.

Or the cheap approach would be to use those termies you already have, with some sort of bolted on extra armour and extra weapons, fluff-wise representing either an early prototype of centurion or an emergency battlefield modification.

Thanks, sorry I mean to combat my orks.

Yeah I am not a huge fan of the overall look of the centurions and of course how they got just shimmied into the background.

Yeah, the more I think about it, I am just going to buff out my termies and make them devastator termies to "count as".

Thanks!
