So I was thinking about going the way of Slaanesh when it comes to cc instead of Khorne and I looked at Noise Marines:
They are I5, so they strike before marines.
They are fearless, so the lack of ATSKNF and the chance of being swept is non-existant.
Take a full 10 man squad, base cost is 17, give each of them a close combat weapon (they get to keep their bolter) so thats 18, give one of them an icon of excess for FNP so that brings the base cost of each marine to 21, and then give them VotlW if you know you will be fighting Space Marines (lets say you do) and that brings them up to 22 points each. Now give them a Rhino and the Noise Champion a power sword, and off they go.
Turn 1, the Rhino moves 12" and pops smoke.
Turn 2 the Rhino moves 6" and the Noise Marines disembark a further 6". Since they kept their Bolters, they are now likely in Rapid fire range and unleash 20 S4 AP5 shots at BS4 - this way they can thin down a target unit (lets say 10 tactical marines) before they take the first casualties from enemy shooting (2.22 dead marines).
Turn 2 (enemy) the Noise Marines take damage - if its small arms fire, they got to fail a 3+ and then a 5+ to take casualties. If its plasma and the like, they still got a 33% chance of passing the wound unless it is S8. The target 8 marines fire back - 1.18 dead Noise Marines. I'll round this up to 1.75 if I assume the marine squad had a plasmagun.
Turn 3: the Noise Marines move 6", fire their boltpistols (~ 1 dead space marine), toss a frag grenade, and then declare a charge, eat overwatch (0.25 dead Noise Marines) and get the charge. They are I5 even if charging through cover thanks to frags. They can take care of tanks thanks to krak, and I5 means they strike first in cc, so even if 7 Noise marines make it in, the chance of them losing is slim (as long as your opponent was distracted with more pressing threats in his previous shooting phase, such as Maulerfiends or cc-Daemon Princes etc. also making a run for his gunline. After all, what trouble are a bunch of cc-weapon armed Noise Marines?)
In cc against the smurfs, the 6 noise marines + champion deliver 2.25 + 1.5 = 3.75 dead, knocking down the MEQ unit down to 3.25 guys before these even get to strike back against the 7 Noise Marines.
Yeah, I know its no surprise a 270 point unit defeated a 155 point unit, but I took the fight to them instead of the opposite and still won; attackers must always spend more points than static defenders.
Thoughts? I play a cc-oriented CSM army so I will be sending multiple threats in his direction.

I mean, yeah they're alright, but don't expect them to bring down a Swarmlord. Could be fun to take them with Lucius in a Land Raider. I feel you should really give them a doom siren.

If you keep the bolter, it's +2 ppm for a ccw. If i recall correctly.
I'd make use of a siren which is a potent s5 ap3 flamer.

I forget if you can fire the flame template out of the rhino.
Noise marines with the siren sarge in a rhino barreling flat out into the enemy. Then not moving next turn to shoot template. Can you disembark 6" and still shoot template? You cant snap fire templates but i wish you could. It would be a cheapo drake.

Only normal CSM pay 2 points for taking a ccw; cult troops only pay 1 extra point.
And isnt the siren counter.productive if I want to assault with my guys? Denying myself charge range is pretty stupid imo, and playing a ranged game in the enemy deployment zone instead of being locked in cc is suicidal.

Move 12", go flat out.
Next turn move 6", move the NM 6", flame them.
Assault something else next turn. Use the flamer on something that you know you can easily kill. Thats one way to do it....Or use the flamer for a counter assault(because you will be stuck for 1 turn until you can assualt)
