With the new formation on Dark Angels, it is possible to "borrow" powers from other Librarians within 12".
Gives some benefits, but with the drawback that "any other model from this Formation within 12" from the nominated model [that borrows the power] cannnot manifest psychic powers until the end of the phase."
Now as much as I'd like to, I cannot agree with the majority of people that claim you just cast with the nominated model first and then with everyone else, since it is "the end of the phase".
BRB tells us when the phase ends - either when no warp dice are left, you cannot or you choose not to manifest any other powers.
It's like basically saying you want to move after the end of the movement phase.
To me this is clear as day, but it seems to be a growing consense that you can cast 5 Mind Worms in this formation if you take the max. number of Librarians.
Who is wrong?

This formation seems confusing... Is it saying that once you "borrow" a power, you're forbidden to cast additional powers with that Psyker? Automatically Appended Next Post:
I just read the rule for this dataslate... you can't cast 5 mindworms.
If you use this ability, the other psykers within 12" can't cast anything. The benefit, it seems, that the chosen psyker would be able to cast any powers that he, plus the other psyker knows and passes the test on a 3+.

Yeah basically you nominate a model.
This model then generates warp charges on a 3+ and has access to any powers known to models in this formation within 12" until the end of the phase.
Once you do that, the wording is exactly:
"however, other models from this Formation within 12" from the nominated model cannnot manifest psychic powers until the end of the phase."

That's exactly my oppinion too.
It's really driving me nuts.. Counterarguments are made with Morale Checks and Interceptor.. as if this matters in this case.
Ah, my brain hurts...

It is pretty clear to me that you can only cast other powers from other librarian if he is further then 12" from linked psyker. With carefull placement you can have your one super-librarian and from one to three normal ones casting in your psychik phase..

It makes sense to me honestly. Your nominated unit uses all the powers. Your other models cannot cast until the end of the phase. The end of the phase is when you are out of warp charge (ie: cannot cast anyway), choose not to or cannot cast a psychic ability.
Essentially this tells us your nominated model does all the casting this turn. At the end of the phase, things revert back to normal and you can again choose to cast with all models in the NEXT psychic phase (as this one has ended and permission for them to cast has now been returned .. when its no longer possible to in this turn).

I wonder tactically, you roll on Maelifc on one or two librarian and for a turn or two, summon some demons. (Remember, they'd manifest on 3+ rolls)
Then, the Dark Angels would truly be unforgiven.

First off, thanks, I had actually missed said formation up until this point somehow. Haven't done much with the game the past month I suppose.
From the way it's worded, and through common sense, on the "main" librarian can use the powers, then the others can't do anything until the following psychic phase.
Also, forget tactics, just for pure awesome I might make a squad of just 4 librarians and ezekiel, maybe in a rhino. Or 4 bike librarians, leading ezekiel and a command squad in a rhino.
