So a while back I did a long (LONG!) peice on civilian vehicles in
40k both to flesh out some ideas I had on daily life in the Imperium and because I'm always disappointed to see these incredible cityscapes that are devoid of vehicles.
See it here:

TL/DR version - the Imperium will be like the Soviet Union (or current North Korea), there's buses, trucks and trains but few private cars. Cars afterall are expensive, resource intensive, vehicles that give the owners privacy and freedom. And why would the Imperium want anyone to have that? The upper class gets chaufeered limos of course, and madder things still.
Then most of the article is about finding suitable models that don't look like 21st century cars with skulls glued to them.
Since I wrote it there has been and EXPLOSION of new model lines and options so it's a good time for an update. No least of which is the Taurox. Once you get rid of the laughable tracks it's actually a very good basis for a
40k truck.
Things like this make for great terrain, ojectives or 'counts as' rhinos and Chimeras for Imperial armies.
I'm looking for suggestions on what to change and what to add, here are some of the things I've found:
Dystopian Legions (freaky steampunk vehicles in resic):
Perry Brothers WWII (two great Italian trucks that look perfect for
40k)
Bolt action (more WWII trucks and armored cars)
Mongoose Judge Dredd (Holy #$%^ing crap I need this car)
Any other good lines out there I should plug?
Any other suggestions?
