Are there any standard sizes for units in Hail Caesar? I know frontage is what is important but I'm basing up a bunch of Perry Wars of the Roses men at arms that I will eventually use to play that system and I'm wondering how many figs to a unit base.

You're right, it goes on unit frontage.

I'm putting some men-at-arms on 40mmx40mm bases at the moment, think to be honest you will probably struggle to fit four on there, especially if you mix in any of their metal range.

I usually put 3 on a base (alternate 2 at the front, 1 at the back to give a regimented look) or even just 2 if you want a 'captain' base with a standard bearer/musician and a captain in a more heroic pose.

Thanks for the info. I realized quickly that I was not at all clear going by figures when talking base sizes. Does the system require a specific frontage for a unit? I know they don't have specific lists for late 15th century England but in general would a unit be 100mm frontage for example? Or is it entirely by unit type and nationality?

Hail Caesar has small, standard and large unit sizes. Frontage of two smalls equal a standard. Frontage of a large unit is 150% of a standard.

How large your standard unit is, is up to you and your opponent.

I play 28mm where a standard infantry unit is 160mm x 60mm, and a standard cavalry unit is 150mm x 100 mm.
