Yeh, I've had a few rather odd ideas lately, flitting around between a few options, but my current favourite (at least from a modelling/conversion/fluff perspective) is to make up a little inquisition allies force.

Inquisitors (Inquisitorks) are generally easy to orkify, WYSIWYG not being too hard for grenades and stuff.

The temptation to do a Looted Inquisitor Karamazov's throne of judgment is.... high.

Psykers can be goblin shamen, to distinguish them from weirdboys. Servitors can be ork robots (like runtbots in a way). Jokaero can be... well, jokaero. Or meks.

It even means I can loot a valkyrie as a transport, and in games where i dont run inquisition it can be used as a blitzabommer or similar.

It all seems to fit together, from a modelling standpoint. But...

Now I'm wondering how I would play them in a game. I'm thinking one unit of henchmen in a valkyrie, and/or a backline gun squad. It would all depend on the game I was playing. But I was just curious what you guys thought, and if you had any suggestions.

Here you go, my random general discussion for the weekend.

The Inspektion!

Thought you were going to throw some new unit/rules ideas instead of a "counts as", and sad that there are no pics (yet!) :-P

(ignore me - I don't know what I am doing)

The biggest problem is that the Inquisition and Orks aren't Battle-Brothers so you can't stick Orkquisitors in Boyz mobs. Otherwise go for it, and post pictures.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

This whole thing started as an idea for a Zogwort army, and I did have a few new rules for including extra weirdboyz and zogwort.

It even had summoning, but instead of daemons it was summoning squigs and goblins. (Fantasy orc stuff).

However it got complicated, and the problem with fandex stuff is I'm not yet sure how the people I play against would feel about it... And running counts-as daemons (or eldar) allies, using a bunch of orc and goblin models, gets very complicated for people to keep track of beyond a few units.

This is where the inquisition got its foot in the door... only a few units, but their rules are obvious through their models (crusaders = shields, psykers = mages, etc) so its easy to keep track of.

And in the end, I could always add in zogwort (or similar) as a new-rules option inquisitor. Should my friends be ok with it.

But that is assuming I can come up with some useful list ideas that use the inquisition codex directly. This means I can run the models I intend to make using either my own rules, or official ones, depending on the situation...
If that makes sense haha.

The battle brothers thing is a problem yes, but orks have no battle brothers anyway. So not much I can do about that! haha.

Pictures will come along as the project proceeds, just need to finalise the basic ideas before i start to invest heavily.

Thoughts:

1) In certain games, Karamazov. Cos the looted throne would be a shame not to use (when I make it). Would have to give him some sort of bodyguard. Plus run some squads of cheap henchmen up the board that he can target with his orbital strike.

2) Valkyrie + Henchmen squad - 3 crusaders, 3 DCA, 3 arco-flaggelents, a psyker (for a cheap warp charge), a priest, a xeno-inquisitor with rad grenades. Something like this. It's a very orky in-your-face melee squad. But then orks can already do this.

3) Valkyrie + Henchmen - 3 Crusaders, 3 acolytes with plasma guns (or melta?), 3 DCA, 1 psyker, ... and 2 spare slots in the valkyrie. Add in an inquisitor again, and maybe a priest. Makes for a jack of all trades unit.

4) Standard backfield henchmen. No transport. - 3 acolytes with plasma guns. 3 Servitors with heavy bolters, 2 jokaero, 3 crusaders for defence. 1 psyker. Add in an inquisitor with a hellrifle maybe.

1, 2, and 3 are builds which could be modelled in a pretty interested fluffy way with orky units. But not sure how useful they would be.
4 is doable, but less fun to model.

I think I would ideally, in an inquisition-heavy list, Run one unit in a valkyrie and one shooty backfield unit (Either a (4) or a karamazov). But kara is a pricey guy.

Anyway thats where I'm considering
