If a model is asked to take a Leadership test, it always uses the highest LD in the unit, correct?

E.g. an Imperial Guard Officer of the Fleet needs to pass a LD test to activate his ability.

Page 13 of the BRB says, under characteristic tests, that such a test must be made on the model's own stat, except Leadership.

In the 4th bullet point at the bottom of the page it says if a unit includes models of differing LD values, always use the highest LD value.

On page 100, in the Characters as Leaders section, it reiterates this same point once again.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

No. You only use the unit's highest Ld when the unit makes a Ld test.

Again, youve missed that they make a distinction between a unit and model based ld test. Units use the highest, models use their own.

Bullet points 1,2 & 3 of the leadership test rule tell us how a model must take leadership tests using their own value.

In the 4th bullet point at the bottom of the page it says if a unit includes models of differing LD values, always use the highest LD value.
This is the 4th bullet point:
"If a unit has to take a Leadership test and it includes models with different Leadership values, always use the highest Leadership from among them."

This is for Units taking Leaderhip tests, not individual models, for a moral or pinning test for example. An Officer of the Fleet, Priest or Psyker would use their own Leadership value.
