He gets the 1 wound = FNP for rest of the battle warlord trait automatically, he comes with regenerate, has armorbane and S10 AP2 attacks, can potentially double its attacks, has D3 HoW attacks and the extra thresher scythe attack (do the HoW living battering ram attacks also benefit from berserk rampage?), confers LD8 to any nearby units out of synapse range, is fearless despite having LD8, and the only carnifex that can be taken as an HQ choice.

I know he is no Flyrant, and he also can't join a unit of Tyrant guard, but is he good for his points?

HOW does not benefit from Rampage.

As much as I like and run OOE, he just is not that great. IF you take him you want him to be Warlord for the FNP, but he is slow and to easy to gun down. The new pods make him a bit better as now you don't have to slog up the board, just take surive one turn of shooting.

On the other hand he can take a knight apart by himself being s10. Speaking of Armor, you really need him to hit a squadron of vehicles or just kills them to fast.

He is a carnifex that took a plasma blast to the face, got frozen in ice, ripped apart a bunch of puny ultramarines, fell down a big hole, got shot in the face again...

...and then he got *really* upset.

What more do you want? Most people would have been won over by the "He is a carnifex".

Anywayz, he's not bad but can be focused down pretty easilly for his cost.
