Hey rules people. Quick question: In my Tempestus codex, the Tempestor Prime from the command squad is my warlord. It doesnt say he can take special issue wargear, but I get the feeling he is supposed to be able to. Is stuff like melta bombs only for the commissars or can my Tempestor Prime take them too?

If he doesn't have the options for them in his unit entry then he doesn't get it.

Yup. The Tempestor Prime is limited to the options listed in his Unit Entry. If Special Issue Wargear isn't there, it isn't there.

I get the feeling that my Inquisitors should have access to bikes and jet packs. You know 'cause 'the rule of cool'. Sadly the rulebooks disagree with me ;(

It's not a great codex, but at least you can field an entire army/detachment.
not really competitive, but fluffy.
tactical limited-ness aside, I'm glad it exists and so are my century...

Oh if you can find a group that lets you play unbound Inquisition can be a blast and still be very fluffy. I just played a game where I had 5 sternguard from the Raptors chapter painted up as a deathwatch kill team, in a dedicated transport razorback with a Xenos Inquisitor I upgraded to a level 1 psyker with the divination primus power. Tack on another Xenos Inquisitor with a conversion beamer standing on the roof of a bastion with an icarus cannon and a warband of a couple acolytes and a psyker with telepathy to run the guns and get us a chimera that my 3 red hunter centurion devistators climb in at the start of turn 1 to go big game hunting and its fun just how much fire power you can put out with such a small force.

sounds like you got yourself a good crew there - I'd give it a bash too, i like a story-driven game.
