Hi All,

As the title indicates, I just bought a random bitz bag. I'm a SM player, was lucky enough that the seller was willing to filter through and make sure that the majority of my bitz were things I would be (theoretically) able to use, so kept it to Grey Knights, vanilla marines, space wolves and DA, with a few chaos bitz thrown in.

Naturally, more useful things are in shorter supply-I've got no legs in the bag, which doesn't bother me so much as I've got quite a few unbuilt marines at home and can always buy more legs.

So, I'm looking for conversion ideas. My homebuilt chapter is a IH successor, less focus on the hacking off of limbs for replacement. Still very much being developed, which means it's the perfect time to have a huge influx of bitz and therefore new models. Ultimately I think a decent amount of this new stuff will end up being resold, but I don't want to get rid of any parts until I've decided a) I don't have a conversion idea for it, and b) it's not unique enough to hold onto for later.

To give you an idea of what we've got to work with, I've got about a million GK swords, both the two handed and falchion style, plus the blades which end in a bulging out leaf shape (I believe DA librarian sword or something...not sure). A lovely sculpted GK banner which I really want to use because it looks awesome, but can't think of a way to integrate it because the iconography is wrong.. Some dready pieces which may become basing material, objective markers and terrain if there are no better proposals.

I've also got a small allied force of space wolves, so wolfy ideas are also welcome. Thinking that might be the way to get rid of one of the power swords; maybe kitbashing an honour guard for my SM will eat up some of the unique items as well. Thoughts on this? Seems I might be able to put a decent Cypher conversion together as well with DA parts crossed with some GK stuff-I managed to get one of the bolt pistols with ammo hanging from the bottom rather than the 'clip' magazine, which I think might work well.

I realise this is rather general, I will try to take pics of a selection of the bitz so that everyone can see what I've got on the table

Edit: I've also ended up with the body and legs of something Eldar-y....Thinking of maybe an Assassin conversion? Happy for ideas on which assassin and which bitz to do the job, I've got quite a bit of SM scout stuff which might work with a bit of tinkering to make the proportions right

Those swords could be really slick for scenery and basing

I feel like most of them would be too big for basing, but scenery might not be a bad idea

Some pictures would be really helpful. Sounds like you've got enough that you should be able to do something with it all.

I will take pictures as soon as I can, unfortunately at the moment I'm at work :(

Off the top of my head, we're looking at ~10 of the GK two handed swords and a similar number of falchions. The entire front of a dreadnaught, the aforementioned sculpted GK banner, a couple of tank-mounted heavy bolters, a smallpile of DA heraldry (cloaked guy with sword standing roughly an inch tall, and smaller of same).

Theres also, for certain, a GK halberd and a staff of some sort which I think is also GK. A small pile of heads from each of the armies mentioned, all SM scout weaponry except for the missile launcher.

At home I've got most of the SW wolf pack box and a sternguard kit which has only partly been built, plus a tac squad still in need of construction, so plenty of things to tinker with.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Plus miscellaneous small stuff-shoulder pads, chainswords, bolters and pistols. No special weapons (although I have a small pile of them at home), and no heavy weapons.
