So, I've been considering buying a box of Ork Boyz just because, but I don't want to make them green. Sure, they're GREEN-skins, but it just feels too mainstream. I have been thinking about making them skin toned, and say that they are Cadians, corrupted by Chaos and seduced by Gorka and Morka and used a sOrk soldiers. Any other Ideas?

You could give them a metric butt-ton or warpaint if you're worried about them staying true to canon

There are many colours you can use; Orks are considered a floral form of life, fungi to be specific. Hence you can use any colours you like Blues work pretty well and can be linked to death skulls. I've seen white skinned orks similar to the character from God Of War game series.

I say give it a go! I've been long considering a different colour myself, just yet to get round to it.

I'm thinking about doing them pale skin coloured, but with blue warpaint, like all Braveheart.

I'm a fan of purple orks personally. That's the color I'm painting mine, and frankly I think it works quite well for them.

But yeh you can do pale with blue pretty well i'd imagine Do some test models? Do you plan on making a large force?

I have seen whitened skinned orks like the persona coming from God Associated with War sport sequence.

Paint them whatever colour you want they are your models.

I prefer my Orks greenish which generally means anything from a dirty yellow/brown up to full on glow in the dark green. I would be fine with the shade in that picture.

Honestly I don't understand why people don't question and even encourage non-green orks. If I purchased DKoK and painted the flesh turquoise and had them wearing pink latex rain macs people world be straight in my face asking why I painted them to look like a dick in a condom.

Your color scheme sounds fine, go for it! Orks can be whatever you want.

Make them cave orks and have them be albino

But if you are going skin color just say they are from some deathworld and there skin pigments got irradiated to this point over time

Paint them in a bone and bare muscle scheme for translucent-skinned cave orks!
