So I'm kitting out an Ironclad Dreadnought for Cities of Death and I had to choose some good upgrades, which ATM consist of a Chainfist and a Heavy Flamer, as well as Ironclad Assault Launchers. I chose to have 2 HK missiles because my army was light on direct AT fire (literally a Predator Destructor with Las sponsons). I know they're useless on Predators and in normal 40k but what's their deal in Cities of Death? Good...or not? If not I'm cashing them in for a Vindicator. Or a Whirlwind.

Seems lot of points in one model. I'd look to split up so enemy can't concentrate fire

They still suck because with one dice you blow all those points and it takes two dice rolls to wound and one not to save... Imo

But isn't that the case for every combiweapon?
I don't find people find combimeltas to be useless...

That's true but you're talking about one vs many or in combination with similar weapons prior to a charge

True, but how is this relevant?
x points for Str 8 Ap3 at infinte range (wut 6th BRB?!) or
x points for Str 8 Ap1 Melta at 12" range..
After all the only thing that matters here is the price point.
Many HK's will cost the same as many combi-meltas...
Charging is the only thing different, but I don't think charging is that big of a detriment to having a "combi" on a vehicle.
I've been trying to figure out why HK's are considered to be that terrible for a while now.
