Now I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but, is there or should there be a Dakka Dakka Skype chat that peeps can join up too?

What would be the purpose of this? To discuss what? also one dedicated "DakkaChat" would be pure chaos, imagine 100 people trying to discuss necron rumors all at once.
Please give me details as to what this chat is.

Thanks for moving this, I wasn't sure where it should go . there is no real purpose to it, besides having a place for people to hang out in a like minded community. I've been apart of similar chats and there not too bad, sure it will need a bit of monitoring, but what doesn't these days.

It's just another way to bring the community together really, nothing more. If it really was huge, then you could start to split up the chat groups depending on their context but they would in no way replace the forums, but encourage more interaction with the various members of the community.

I was a member of the Polycount (3d modelling forum) Skype group for a bit - lots of chat going on and streaming of people's workflows etc which could be useful. Not sure how well that would transfer over to painting etc XD

Could be a pretty good thing, I usually keep my mouth shut until such a point that I have a beverage to many and start singing.

You're best off creating your own unofficial really and seeing who wants to join. It'd be impossible for there to be no groups already like this.

My thinking too, I would of thought someone would already started their own group for now and hoping they would post it in here. I'll see it go's and if there is any interest before I do anything.

Going to bump this up, and just say if peeps are interested in having a skype group to hang out in and chat about minis, gaming and whatnot. PM me and I'll see what I can put together.
