i keep looking at the Exocrine and the hefty S7 AP2 shots it can put out and want to like it. Anyone have much luck with them? I fight mostly MEQ (blood angles and chaos) and though it would be a good way to add ranged damage.

One or two is good, three is too many.
Not everyone takes them, but even most veteran Bug players wouldn't fault you for taking it.
I like running him with Swarmy...Preferred Enemy Exocrine is decent at killing most things.

If part of the node then yes take it. If not then mawloc's do the big ap2 template better for me.

Vs MEQ it is Very nice, for the best results you should run Living Artillery Node, that gives you re-roll for scatter, and Pinning for the Formation.
