Revisit on a model I finished a while ago (which got Reader's Model of the Month in White Dwarf!). I wasn't happy with the headlight OSL at the time so went back and made them blue which works much better I hope you agree

I'm personally not a fan of the OSL but the rest is just superb, I like the colour combo and attention to detail when it comes to the weathering, the lettering is a nice touch as well.

I'll definitely be pinching a lot of ideas from this one!

How do you weather your black where the metal shows through. Do you sponge it on?

Mind sharing how the OSL was done? I've never been a fan of it prior to seeing your Achilles.

Looks nice. Although when I played BA they couldn't take the Achilles. Has that changed? Or is it just a "I like the model so F the rules" thing?

@ Unadopted_Puppy, sure, I sprayed an area of Vallejo Model Air Dark Sea Blue, then a smaller area inside of Light Sea Blue, then an even smaller area of white on the lamps themselves and just below. Easy!

@ Red_Starrise, I proxy it as a Land Raider Redeemer. The Achilles has melta sponsons so I swapped them for flamers and the thunder cannon counts as the assault cannons.

I know posting rules is a big no-no, but I figure letting someone know that yes, they can indeed run a model is still kosher? If not, feel free to delete this post.

Says in War Machines of the Adeptus Astartes (IA Vol2 2nd Ed), it says a Land Raider of any type is a Heavy Support for Codex Marines, Blood Angels, Dark Angels and Space Wolves. So, assuming the OP here goes to dig up the actual rules in said book, he's free to use it.

Word of warning, it's got a really small carry capacity so if you're actually putting hordes of Death Company inside, not really an ideal vehicle for that!

Oddly missing from the list, Grey Knights. Not usable by those jerks.
