I still need to put together a transport or two for my storm troopers and I really like the rule for the Taurox Prime, but despise the model. The treads are ugly, the detail level is busy, and the whole unit does not look like it belongs in the same army as other guard or marine transports. As a result I have a few questions.

What is the height, width and length of GW's kit fully assembled?

What other model kits have people used as a counts as Taurox?

What are some of your favorite conversions? Are there simple conversion kits available?

There are taurox wheels conversion out there, and the hub of the taurox could made to be open topped with rails from the kit.

Thats the problem I have with GW's kit being converted. That looks more like an ork truck then an imperial transport.

It is hard to get away from using the base Taurox model, outside of just adding wheels. I don't mind the look when it has wheels, likes kind of like a MaxxPro MRAP. However, I'm sure if you were to just use Chimeras modelled appropriately, as a counts as for a Taurox, most players won't have an issue. Honestly, I would encourage that, simple because of the more realistic load-out compared to the Chimera.

I always think of the eisenkern apc as closer to a taros venator but it is quite large for that. Though it's an expensive alternative to the awful taurox.
